Honestly, with the creativity and talent in this forum, I think even that could be exciting. Bear with me for a minute here and imagine if we had a build off with only two constraints: 1) must be black, 2) must have a p-bass pickup - everything else up for grabs! I bet we would get some pretty awesome stuff.

I'm with @dwizum here -

Black is pretty interpretative in itself too. You would end up with gloss black, matte black, transparent black, bursts of all types. So even the color wouldn't be "the same". And the variations on a "P" pickup are almost as long. What position you put it in, which direction you put it, how many P's you use, what other pickups you put next to that P. And that doesn't even take into account the actual body shapes everyone would come up with.
