What's the torch for?

Looks like to see what the router is doing.
My little ryobi router has a little LED that shines down on the work, but it's still hard to see what's going on in there.

Yeah, I really should have made my router sled base from clear plastic. The wood base stops all light from reaching where the router blade meets the wood. I use to flashlight so I can see what I'm routing.

I bought that same PC router, my only regret is no light (and no dust collection). I have a Rube Goldberg Flashlight contraption velcro taped to it to get some light. Nobody seems to make an aftermarket attachable light for these routers.

I wear a headlamp when I’m routing. Simple, hands free and gives me all the directed light I need.

I think I've been following @Gilmourisgod builds way too closely lately - it's seems I am building this bass in slow motion. Though we have close to two months left - I may just make it under the wire.

Heh. Embrace the Slacker Ethos! My bass builds are like watching continents creep. 4 hours of free time a week if I'm lucky. First build took 4 years, second took 2, third looking like 1 year so.... Trending Downward.

Perhaps I should not try to get involved with so many projects. I just finished my son's sports figure shelf (I still have to pack it up and ship it out):

And I'm learning a bunch of new songs for the band. How did I ever get anything done before I retired?!?!?!?
