No bass?!
Some of the songs they use what sounds like a viola da gamba, but the drums really are the bass line (and the bag pipe drones)
I sanded off what must be another pound of resin, and I think I smoothed out most of the divots. Then I coated both top and back with a pretty thick coat of resin.
I'll have to keep flipping this every 15 minutes or so for the next couple of hours to prevent drips and runs. I am scheduled to receive the new paint tomorrow, so I may be able to paint on Saturday, weather permitting.

You need that painting stand with the built-in BBQ rotisserie that somebody posted the other day.
Incredibly, the paint arrived a day early. I may be able to start painting tomorrow! Woohoo!
I changed my mind, leave it like it is now with the exposed edges and all, and call it a distressed finish

It sounds pretty good. Kind of like a Precision electrically, and kind of like my Ovation acoustically. There's a few more tweaks I have to do before I declare that it's done, but it's close.
