Winter Build Off 2023 - Let Your Nerd Flag Fly

And just to confound things, I've also bandied about the idea of making every Summer Build Off a 'free for all' type theme. I can't remember who first said that, but I do like the "Lazy Days of Summer" aspect, while also realizing that for a small percentage of the world's population it would be the Lazy Days of Winter. :D

Even though I can't remember who posted it first, it was probably @Reedt2000 - master of build off theme ideas. :woot:

That may be a good idea to make the SBO a free for all every year. It may encourage additional participation with no real restrictions.

I do like building to a target, and I like to reduce, reuse, recycle and repurpose, buuuut... I often put upwards of $1000 into parts and electronics, so the $100 is a bit tricky for me too. :D But making a "cheap" instrument or doing the reduce/reuse thing might still make for an interesting theme. :)
I had only 220(cad) into my entire jazzrunner project. I'm cheap.

I just built this bass in fenders custom shop as a test , it has low noise pickups but still no series /parallel and no built in led fuzz effects. Cost 2100usd =2830.00 canadian. This is why I build.
