Winter Build-Off 2023: Twin Tigers!!!

Strings are attached and I've done some preliminary setup work. Next step is install all the electronics and this thing will be ready for test-firing.
I'm not always a fan of gold hardware but it fits nicely with the color of that top.
Yeah it really just kind of disappears into the wood grain. I dig it too!
Slowly chipping away in between everything else going on. The electronics cavity is lined with copper foil and readied for preamp installation. I discovered that I ran out of black 22 AWG wire so I need to wait until tomorrow to do the soldering, when my supply is replenished.
The spaghetti project is underway. The coil select switches work great - but what a PITA to wire up!
The layout is roughed in and almost ready for installation of the controls. I'll do this as a last step once I make sure the potentiometers are oriented where I want them within the cavity.
Finally got the switches and preamp install wrapped up! Between my time constraints and need to use a magnifying lens for fine detail work, this one was a real challenge!
Last part of the wire up is to connect a few hundred ground connections 
Strings and controls are installed.
Should know soon! I still have some string and pickup height setup work to do now that the new DRs on are there...hopefully just a half hour of work to go before I get her plugged in for the first time.
Wire up is complete, battery is installed, output jack is attached, I plugged it in and…yay!!!
Seeing the twins together is a sight to behold! Not an official glamour shot, but you get the idea…
Tonewise, similar in some ways - different in others! I believe it's largely due to the incredible detail and fidelity of the BigRig pickups.
In terms of the similarities, both instruments are incredibly warm sounding. Just huge, full and open all the way up and down, and very touch-sensitive dynamics. Each note has a lot "to" it.
The fretted bass definitely has a characteristic treble ping going on, whereas the fretless is all about warm mids. With everything centered on the preamp, it's very much in the classic Pino Palladino tone territory. I haven't done much in the way of knob twiddling yet, but that's on the agenda.
