Winter Build Off 2025 - Get Ready!

I'm pretty sure I posted that video in a thread entitled "Unintentionally Hilarious 80's Hair Metal Videos". The Hair Metal guys were... un-enthused.
Slowing but surely collecting parts. I took the time to measure that volume pot - it's the wrong value at 250k, so I have another coming soon. Other than that, I think I have most everything I'll need for this build.

Those are long scale, this build will be short scale.
Just ordered this set from Fret Nation:
This set features slightly thinner strings - 120 vs 125 for the B - and it was like $5 less than the Dr Strings set I used on the last short scale build I did.

Health update:
Had back surgery (kyphoplasty) to repair two lumbar vertebrae that had compression fractures. Turns out I had been walking around for about two months with a broken back. No wonder I’ve been in pain constantly.
The cancer tumors in my lungs are gone ! That’s awesome, as there were a LOT of tumors.
The tumors in my lymph nodes have mostly gone, and the ones that remain have stabilized.
My prostate is well….. still about the same, but at least it hasn’t gotten worse.
The tumors in spine and bones also have stabilized. There are still a ton of them, but it seems it hasn’t gotten worse.
So overall a good scan result. The cancer has seemingly stopped its spread and growth, and in some cases has resolved and gone …. So between that and the fact that I’m still on the right side of the dirt, I’m pretty stoked !

USPS in my area has completely broken down into a dysfunctional cesspool. I've had a package sitting at their Indianapolis distribution center since December 10, with no updates except that it is late. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
