When will that start? I've never made an instrument and would like to have a go, learning a lot from the build threads and the Crimson run GGBOs.

Winter Build Off Voting Time! closes March 27

The Summer Build Off will run June 21 1600h to September 22 1600h (Pacific Standard Time (UTC -8)). There will be a thread titled "Summer Build Off 2022 - Get Ready" put up in the Luthier's Corner in about two weeks' time. There will again be categories for the builds to encourage anyone who's thinking of getting their feet wet. I hope to see you there!

hmm reading it back, that sounds weirder than I intended. 
That might be cutting it close timewise with other things, but might be able to make a partial happen as I have a neck, and all the rest of the hardware and one of the pickups here. Maybe a neck too if I do a flat headstock.
And I'm yet to link my OnlyFans...I've already added you to my spreadsheet...

No, I'm still reading through the threads, but I have a couple of faves so far.
As I mentioned, I'd like to try my hand at BYO. I'm thinking a Lee Sklar Frankenstein 'homage' might be a good build. Not too complex and I know someone with a P template and says he has an ash body blank I can use. Lee's is alder, but I like ash aesthetically.
Back to reading the construction threads...

I'm working through them. I find them more interesting than most of the equipment threads, and I have quite a bit of free time at the moment.
I like to make things with my own hands. And powertools.
Hopefully a few more are inspired to join in the next Build Off. Hopefully these will become regularized with a Summer and Winter Build Off each year. Running of course from the start to the finish of the season in the Northern Hemisphere in North America.
I've thoroughly enjoyed following many of the build threads this year. They've given me a much needed pleasant distraction through some difficult times.
It was hard not to want to vote for most of them, as there is a lot of awesome talent on show, but I've voted.

I smell some fresh recruits for the next buildoff!
Just seeing all those basses in one thread, incredible! I had my head down since December, this last week I've been reviewing all the build threads, just incredibly impressive group of instruments. I love the diversity of the lot as well.
I have the opposite problem:
Me: "It's finished!"
Wife: "Is that supposed to there?"
Me: "#$#@#%^^&!!!"
Looking forward to the next one, especially with new blood!

I tend to overly nitpick my own to death. I have several that are "not quite ready to sell" because of some microscopic imperfection that my kids laugh at.
