Winter NAMM 2017 (ultra Pic-heavy)

Yeah, it's probably best sounded out as MISS-iss-aww-guh. The Toronto one throws people because locals say it more like Tor-ON-oh.

Our shop is very close to the Mississauga/Toronto border, and right by Pearson (YYZ) airport, hence the name. I live in the more central part of Mississauga, which 40 years ago was mostly farmland in an area central to a bunch of smaller towns that got amalgamated. They built a big mall in the 70s and all the development now surrounds it, with a bunch of high rise condos that from a distance, are very deceptive in terms of making the core here look very dense. We're a suburb of about 800,000 trying to make the next steps of feeling like a proper city.

Mashugana sounds like a metal band that should have come from here :) So far Triumph and Billy Talent are the best known 'sauga bands.
.

Also, Mississauga Ontario has wild architecture!

There's more coming on the western end, towards Mavis. Rogers is developing 7 (or maybe 9?) building that will also feature some creative concepts.

As for the Absolute towers... my balcony is in the background of this photo ;)

Too cool. I had no idea you lived in the "Marilyn Monroe" towers. Must be a wild ride up the twisting elevator each day! :roflmao: Nice place!
Was Remco trying out out a K Bass earlier, because I thought I felt a ground tremor...? (I'm in Brampton) ;)

He flew home on Wednesday, and we had our wires crossed on the flight time and lost what would have been 2 hours of demo vid time. I thought the flight was 5:50, but it was 15:50, which is obviously two hours earlier. We had to pack up in a hurry and didn't record the K demos we had planned. I might have to practice a little tonight and record something myself :sour:.

It's funny with all these basses around that I barely ever practice or play any more, which isn't a good thing considering I was a recreational player at best, before this whole Hammersmith thing started. I'm much happier letting the experienced and talented guys show off the basses.

Send me half a dozen of them. I'll make all the videos you want. Heck, I'll even take requests. :D

Send me 3 for demo purposes, and I'll send back 2 when I'm done. ;)
