Wireless Reccomendation

Hi, I just won an audition with an established band with a lot to offer. They would like me to be wireless. What make and model can I walk into guitar Center & buy and the thing will just works. I need good range and no interference.

Line 6 G30 or G50. I have the G30 and love it. The battery door is kind of annoying, but tape can fix that if it becomes a problem. The nice thing about the G30 is it uses all 1/4" connections, so no special cables needed. I'd definitely grab a different cable than the one included.

Line 6 G(?? model number), depends on what you want to spend. They are the best thing out there for bass or guitar in general. I can't imagine that many people on here are going to disagree.

Buy without hesitation. Wireless is not a place you want to skimp, IMO anyway.

I picked up the Line6 xds95 2 weeks ago. It's stompbox size so it goes right on my pedal board. The receiver is 9v so it hooked right up to my one spot. The transmitter lasted a full evening ( 3 1 hour+ sets) on a single fresh 9v battery. It didn't add any hiss or other noise that I could hear. Best part is brand new these things are around $125. Only downside so far is the transmitter is housed in a plastic case, but I guess that also makes it lighter.

Another vote for Line 6 here.
I've got the X2 and it works amazingly. All my tone is there. You can find them for cheap on Craigslist or eBay.

agreed on the g30, but definitely get a new 1-2 ft patch/instrument cable. The one that came with mine was horrible, it cut out all the time. Replaced it and no problems ever *knock on wood*

I have one of these and they work great. I have been using mine for a month now with no problems. No dropouts, battery issues (I use rechargeable) or anything quirky.

HOWEVER, it is what I would consider an entry level device, which is fine for what I do. And it uses a 1/4" to a 1/8" stereo cable. Pretty easy to make but you need spares just in case. I got a case for the transmitter to put on the guitar strap.

They've been on major tours, run less than 200 bucks, and have a range of about 200 feet. Transmitter and receiver both can run off batteries if you like, and the sound is so close to using a cable I had to plug into my studio monitors to detect just the slightest difference.

Check 'em out, you won't regret it.

Well the Relays are basically just a rehouse + a few tricks of the relaunched X2 products after being sold to Line6 (and the original X-Wire stuff was sold to Sennheiser years ago) so they do alright...

I have the rack mount X2, sounds great. I like it as well as the Xwire, which I also had. Found them heavily discounted when the G series were about to come out, grabbed one for cheap.

G50 replaced an "outlawed" Sennheiser here.
Replaced the junk Line 6 cable with this Shure WA304(ANGLE connector on 1/4" end):
