Morning all,
I've inherited an Epiphone SG bass that is in pretty bad shape. Hate to see an instrument go to waste so I'm trying to coax it back to life. My wiring knowledge is pretty basic to say the least but I do know my way round a soldering iron. Anyone out there know where I can find a beginners guide to what wire goes where?

Before going on with viewing the below wirings, take a look around the site at http://www.1728.org/indexfun.htm - it contains plenty of information and should explain a few things about which wire goes where and why.

As for the wiring itself: is it a one-pickup model or a two-pickup model?

If it has only one pickup (and two knobs), wire it like this:

If it has two pickups (and four knobs), wire it like this:

If it has two pickups, four knobs and a switch, use this:

If the symbology does not make sense, ask again and I'll clarify.
