Wiring question?

This is not the bass in question but a friend of mine has an alembic bass with a similar battery setup and the leads got yanked off. The main cavity has a single 9 volt that runs the active setup and I believe that the upper cavity has the batteries for a boost circuit? There are 4 9v batteries in that compartment. Can anyone show me how these batteries are connected together? I assume the goal is to have 18v so does that mean that one pair is wired in series and one in parallel?

Those extra batteries are dedicated to the fretboard LEDs I believe? This is very specific, so you should definitely ask Alembic directly as suggested by @T_Bone_TL , but there should also be an Alembic owners club somewhere in the Basses section, with very knowledgeable and helpful people :)
