So, I'm curious about pickup covers. I've seen some of the giant metal shields that go over the pup and strings, but what I'm thinking of are the covers right over the pup (under the strings) that match the body wood. Anybody do this on a Wish? Questions/comments welcome...
Thanks for your input! Now just to convince the woman...

Fantasy #1091 arrived this morning. Super nice one. I mean, in the realm of Wish. Probably the most playable of any wishbass I've played (I think I've played 6 of them so far), and certainly the closest to "finished". Would be a great candidate for a full, proper finish job as the quality of the bubinga (solid!) is very high.
Nice bass, I admired that one along with the rosewood Fantasy that was on eBay at about the same time. I thought it would be a nice one and I'm glad to hear it's checked out ok!
Are you going to refinish it yourself?

Very nice. When I saw that listing I was smitten. If the pup was 2-3 inches further from the bridge, I would have pulled the trigger in a blink.
I would be very interested to hear some samples of that beauty, if you ever get around to it.
Have fun, James
I just paid for this bass via paypal
