Hey, that's a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of that. I could get him to give me a short scale. Well, we'll have to see where this goes I guess.

maybe it will actually post to ebay...
btw, did you see that walnut and maple striped lobe?
Doesn't it seem like Wish's stuff is getting snapped up more quickly now, and with less haggling over price? I find that interesting ... Good for him!
yep....is very interesting. on a diff note......
i was on my way to rehearsal the other night and had to stop by the repair shop to pick up one of my amps. i showed the guy at the shop my wish.....his reaction.
1. "I never thought i'd see another one of these basses." So apparently someone here in phoenix besides myself owns one.
2. "No offense, but that's probably the ugliest bass i've ever seen. Is the builder partially blind?"
3. "If it makes you happy, play it. Your's is in much better shape than the other one we got in here."
i laughed.
I think in the case of the Walnut lobe, which didn't last very long at all, is that it was such a remarkably gorgeous piece of wood. That was the first one in a long while that made me think, "maybe I do need another Wishbass"

could we see pics of this walnut lobe? i missed it
(I hate links that open new windows!)
Newfuture: How does it feel and play so far? What are your plans for it?
He's gonna ship it out on Monday, fedex ground. Probably get it around 12/9 or so. Will keep you posted. As for my plans, I'm going to swap the EMG out for a Duncan split-J PU, run a ground wire, maybe install a varitone, and get the neck / fingerboard smooth, but the finish on this beast is surprisingly nice looking in the pics at least, so perhaps that's all I'll do. Other than play it.
