On the For Sale forum, comments are not allowed regarding pricing of items. However, I'd like some feedback here regarding what price you think is appropriate for that Wish bass I am selling? Thanks. (Please do not respond if you are considering buying it, for obvious reasons. ) 
Though I'm not really a Wish fan, I have to say that is the finest one I've seen. Great work.

Honestly Bob I think that price is way more than fair. Most wishes on the bay that have 6 strings in for that price or more. Considering the work you did I would think this is am awesome deal
I agree about the price...very fair...nice job!
BTW, while reading your description I noticed you (and others) think Wish uses "nails" for his side position markers. He actually uses an aluminum rod. First, he drills the holes, then puts a drop of super glue on the end of the rod, pushes the rod in the hole and clips it off before filing it flush with the neck/fingerboard. I also thought he used nails until I saw him install them.
here is my four string hyper in its "natural habitat" I put a cocobolo pickup cover on it and a new control cavity plate with a wood vineer on it. i just recently put a wooden bridge on and it looks amazing.

So I bought 3 string pete's wishbass off of ebay...Because my wife told me to do it. Really! That, plus Pete charged very little for it, and it had the HAS varitone control installed.
Got to say it's killer. Am missing the G string very little. I took a couple hours to sand the fingerboard smooth, and pop the bridge off (it had been glued down about a half inch too sharp) to set the intonation. This thing is so much fun, especially with the varitone. Dub city.
For more flexibility, I added a 100k pot between the VT and ground to adjust the intensity of the varitone effect. It's pretty cramped now on the control cover, and I had to route a bit of wood away to fit the pot, but man, totally worth it. No longer feel the need to replace the EMG select.
I have to say, dealing with Pete was extremely pleasant; the bass was well packed, and came very quickly, if anybody's got a chance to pick up an instrument from him, consider this a positive reference. Way to go Pete!

Sorry about the bridge placement. Wish says he uses a 34" scale, but that may mean anywhere from 33" to 35," so you end up having to work with his position markers.
I'm close to finishing a short-scale, semi-hollow bass that will have a 50k or 100k pot with a bypass setting. It has a cool "pop art" look. I'll post some photos when it's done.

A question: the varitone control, did it distort a bit? I noticed it did for me, increasingly so with larger cap values. Bypassing the choke fixed it (and killed the treble, of course), so I'm looking for 1H or larger chokes with higher current handling that'll still fit in the instrument cavity (just following a hunch).

No, I can't say I noticed any distortion with the Varitone. Overall, it was very clean (played through a Phil Jones Bass Briefcase). Some may describe the last position (furthest clockwise) as sounding slightly distorted like a Hammond B3 organ, but I believe that has much to do with the amp & speakers and their ability to "define" the lower frequencies. For example, the Marshall amp with 15" speaker in the YouTube video sounded "distorted" in my opinion....almost wished I had used my Phil Jones Bass combo amp.
You should check with Stan Hinesley at www.has-sound.com. He is quite the expert on passive controls, and may be able to provide some advice.

I noticed the distortion going into a recording channel via a Radial DI and monitoring with nice headphones--about the most clinically clean test out there. I hadn't noticed it with 'dirtier' amps.
Emailed Stan a few days ago, but no answer...Last night, I swapped the his transformer for a larger Rat Shack one, and that's much better (wired across the primary). Will also try again with Stan to get his input.

You are correct about the Radial DI providing a "clean" test. I wish I could offer more advice about the "distortion". Stan's usually good at returning emails. I'm sure he can help, especially since he built the Varitone control.

The maple and purpleheart neck runs through the 3-ply birch body (6-ply on the sides). I will install a single J-Bass pickup, volume control, tone control, and side-mounted jack. The fingerboard is Ipe (30" scale). It has a cool pop art look. Wish did a great job considering he didn't have a form for bending the sides. He is in the process of making one to standardize the shape. We're calling this a prototype.
