Hi guys,

Currently I am thinking to order a bass from a luthier in Turkey. However I don't feel that I have enough information about woods. I played mostly bold-on guitars and a couple of neckthroughs (which I didnt like). So I decided to go for a bolt-on construction. I hope you guys can help me with body and neck options :) Most of the time I play fingerstyle and in some cases a little bit of slapping.. I hope toy guys could help me. Peace!

Choices;
For the body: Black Corina, American Walnut and Alder

For the neck: Maple, Purple Heart, Walnut and Bubinga

Use the wood that pleases you aesthetically. All of the woods you listed will work fine structurally.
