Ok I wanted to let you guys know, and this pains me really really bad, I have decided to let to bet on two horses here.
Whatever goes I'll keep the other cos otherwise I'll run out of low B's... I'm putting up for sale my Zoid VM 6 String, and my Fodera NYC, I need to sell one of these basses as there will be too many instruments standing around here, as also I have a new W&T in the builds now. Cos the Fodera to my big big surprise is very hard to sell somehow (wrong time), otherwise I wouldn't even dare to sput the Zoid up for sale as it's the best bass I ever owned, period.

Hi Bram, I know selling a high-end bass nowadays ain't easy but I hope you wont regret selling the VM!
It is one of the Best, if not the best W&T bass I have ever played. I did have some troubles with the six strings and the widht of the neck but If money wasn't a problem I would buy it back immediately!

Yeah I know Dirk, actually again, I do NOT like to even sell this bass at all... I currently have a different setup to it which even made it sound even better... It plays like a f*&^^% dream... Then again having 4+ expensive basses hanging around in my home isn't really what I want either... But I rather had this one hanging around if the darn times werent so dramatic that I can't even sell a freakin NYC Fodera for some crappy low price, so something more radical had to be done somehow.

Anyways I hope I won't regret doing so...

Going to Italy in two weeks to pick up my new wood and tronics :)

I gave Enrico "total" freedom on the bass :) just wanted to have the same basic specs as my previous one :)

32 scale
Ash body
5 string, e to C

what he came up with was:
Flamed walnut "top" with a black burts
birds eye maple pick up covers
ebony ramp

Etc...

It is always nice to see what people can come up with :)

As for selling a fodera... Well.. to many many people they are overpriced... And many people don't even know about them... But i think it's just.. Time... I can't even manage to sell a 75 jazz so... :-p

Ooo - I see the "secret" is out:hiding:

I have been working with WT for three years now and can honestly say that these guys "Get it"!

These are some of the finest playing and looking basses I have played anywhere Enrico and Erik have really thrown themselves at WoodandTronics and put a lot of "themselves" into the instruments.

It has been exciting watching the development of the product with amazing fine tuning and in depth analysing of every component and part of the bass.

BAss Direct customers have been bowled over by these basses and we always have something exciting in the pipeline with WT - I will post up some picys later.

Bram, out of curiousity, what are you asking, for the Zoid? It is one of my all time favorite basses.. Does it have the bassculture pu's? or the Armstrongs? Still got the original Q tuners?

2300 euro is what I'm asking Jake, I don't know what that is in dollars tho...
I bought it from Dirk for 2500 7 months back.
It has the Kent Armstrong pickups in, I dont have the Q-tuners, but looking at Viz Maurogiovanni's clips the Kents sound so much better,
it has some light wear on the back of the body but nothing serious and yes it's a hell of a great bass!
Actually I'm being quite happy with all the PM's I'm getting there is quite some interest for this instrument!
Which was a surprise because the only reactions to my Fodera NYC which is not just a Fodera NYC where trades!
I'm happy to sell it to anyone preferrably I know through forums ofcourse!
