Woodwind Player / Sound Engineer Turned Bass Player

Hail TB!

Woodwind player turned bassist, I’ve been lurking here for about two years. I had a bass in the closet forever and only learned the bass line to EWF’s September in about ten year’s time. I was a sound engineer at my church for four years when our bass player quit and I semi-honestly told the team leader “I’m a bass player!” Two years later you can’t get me to stop practicing! I’m a 70’s 80’s guy; I mostly love Funk, Fusion, Motown, Disco, Yacht Rock, Soft Rock, and R&B/Soul/Gospel

By day, I’m a middle school band director of 10 years with a great group of young musicians including a very promising 8th grade bass player who can read and have his parts learned in a day.

I also lead a cover band which is just starting out in which I play tenor sax.
