The response graphs are very similar, but the sensitivities differ. To get a more accurate view, use the Eminence data sheet pdf's. The graphs on USSpeaker are difficult to use at best, and unreliable in detail.

I do see the Delta's slightly lower from ~100-150. To my eyes, after that, again, it's very similar to the Kappa Pro. I think the OP would have fine success with either.

At $103, though, even with a 3 kHz top, I'd be tempted by the Celestion .

I guess it's all in the details: the Delta Pro runs between 98 and 99 db from about 100 to 600 hz, while the Kappa Pro in the same range is between 99 and 101 db.

While either would work just fine for the OP, the Celestion TF 1530 is the real champ, running between 99 and 100 db in the same range, having a more linear response, HF extending to the 3 - 4 kHz range and costing less than either Eminence. In this instance, I don't see either Eminence as cost competitive to it.

I have two old EV-15L's I ripped out of a mesa diesel 215. Each is getting a lightweight TL606 built for it this weekend. I highly recommend tracking them down, but its like 21 lbs a driver.....

If they're the ones I see when I search, & I think they are, they have a top of 2.5 kHz. Lower than I'd like, but if it works for you, that's all that matters. Can't find a graph for them, though.

I've got a couple of D140F's that I can't recommend to anyone looking for rich mids. The high mids and low treble are nicely detailed as are the lows, but alltogether they sounded kinda hollow relative to a number of other more common things. Granted, I haven't heard them in anything but a pre-Thiele-Small Sunn cab... I like them for when I am getting my Geddy on (almost never these days). No clue how they'll sound in a properly engineered cab with your amp. That's a middy amp? Maybe it'll all even out? I doubt Don would steer you wrong, though. I'll be listing them in a week or two to finance a 2x Beta 15a cab.

If you don t mind modding your cab a little, a pair of gauss would do the trick. If your lucky enough to find them, but the sound is worth it.

The Kappa PRO 15A response nominally extends to 4 kHz.

The Kappa 15A's response extends only into the 2 - 3 kHz range, and has that alpine 12 db peak at 1.8 khz. Not recommended for a full range cab!

A pair of Delta 15A's would make a great 4 ohm cab for the Acoustic 320's 160w's.

Another driver well worth consideration here is the Celestion TF 1530 - 100+ db sensitivity, very linear response to nearly 4 kHz. It's limited Xmax (2 mm) is not an issue in this case. Relatively inexpensive too.

I've used the Deltas in so many applications....and NEVER been disappointed. Probably still under a $100/piece.

am i the only guy on TB who uses and likes the kappa 15A?

i ordered a pair of compact little single 15s from don, spec'ed to run the kappa As i already had, and they're all kinds of big, fat and room-filling, especially with my grindy p-bass/sansamp tone.

i later tried modeling other speakers in those cabs (old winISD, i think i did it right), looking to maybe use some of these sweet neo drivers i've been reading about instead, and what i found was the "stock" kappas had a nice gentle bass boost around 50-60Hz, while all the other choices had bass loss, as in the lows not making it above the x-axis, no matter how i messed with the size and number of ports.
