The world could shut down so everyone loses motivation before you get a chance to road test things.

Well, you got the hardest part out of the way. If you haven't done it already, talk together about how you will choose songs, how you will book gigs, when and where you will rehearse, how you will split the profits and expenses, and talk about what deal-breakers people have encountered in past bands. (If it's an originals band looking to record, talk about songwriting credits and splitting of recording costs and profits too.) Good chance someone will leave after that discussion, but better that they go now than 2 weeks before a gig.
