Worlds First Drum Machine in Pedal Form!

So I fired mine up last night. Pretty darned fun. What's pretty clear right away is you need the accessory pedal... AND it needs it's own power supply (my pedal-train PS won't cut it). But the sound quality is very good, the selection of beats is very cool, the UI isn't bad at all. So far, I dig it.

Just to be clear--- the unit comes with a power supply.

The accessory pedal(s) are switches---- no power needed.

Yes, it does come with a power supply. But I have a pedal board with Voodoo Labs power supply that apparently was insufficient to power the pedal. That was my comment.
The foot switches seem required, to me, to fully utilize the BeatBuddy. Yes, it works by itself - but those two switches now seem pretty key to really getting the most out of it.

I'll find out for myself tomorrow (most likely) but how long is the cable on the power supply? I was hoping that my OneSpot would be enough to power it, but I haven't run the numbers to know for sure.

From the manual, it comes with a 9V/500 mA supply and it needs 9V with at least 300 mA to function. That would be why a 100 mA or 200 mA PP-type supply wouldn't cut it, but a OneSpot should be fine.

Well, my new drunken drummer in a pedal is on the way. Drying my tears now and I hope everyone who feels they should have but haven't received a tracking # yet gets one really soon as well. Been a long wait. Really looking forward to putting this thing to work. Hope this thread closes soon with everybody happy.

Wow, bummer about international shipping. So this is for the second round of production, or does it affect the first round as well?

Yep, I can corroborate that.

Well this sucks.

I know envy is not cool, but it certainly makes the news harder knowing that other people out there have theirs...
Funny, I don't recall October in my email about Hong Kong delays, which was yesterday. It said at current rate they would all have left the port by month's end, September.

I've only seen one international report of tracking started. What's facebook saying?

What a crock!

Nobody has received their BB yet, or surely someone would've posted a pic in this thread for PROOF!

Beatbuddy arrived at 10AM (weird delivery time) this morning! I only had a chance to go over the instruction manual and plug headphones in to listen to some of the beats but they sound pretty good! I didn't have the money initially for the footswitch, and I can see why that would be a highly recommended peripheral. The manual mentioned running the beatbuddy separately through full range speakers like a PA, is anyone else going to be running a setup like that? I can't wait to start feeding fuzz, envelopes and modulation through it personally. Might need to start looking into a separate pedalboard just for the beatbuddy and all the weirdness I plan on running through it.

What about the other way around? Feeding the BB signal through fuzz, envelopes and modulation pedals...

Thank you. The post you refer to was indeed worded (by convention) in such a way that made me pause and pontificate on previous posts about the nature of the foot-pedal switches. Since I don't have such a foot-pedal switch on hand, I ordered one with the BB.
