Worlds First Drum Machine in Pedal Form!

What a crock!

Nobody has received their BB yet, or surely someone would've posted a pic in this thread for PROOF!

What about the other way around? Feeding the BB signal through fuzz, envelopes and modulation pedals...

Thank you. The post you refer to was indeed worded (by convention) in such a way that made me pause and pontificate on previous posts about the nature of the foot-pedal switches. Since I don't have such a foot-pedal switch on hand, I ordered one with the BB.

I entered that contest and when it said "Which package would you most like to win?" and I was sorry I couldn't/didn't answer Beat Buddy, because with one on the way that wouldn't be true. So I picked the Mesa package, I think---whatever had the greatest monetary value.

BigBeatNut, the vids were of non-TBers, and guitarists at that!

John M, unless you post a pic with your smiling visage next to the pedal, or a video of you with your socks stomping the BB... then as per TB etiquette you have no proof of BB ownership.

Adamixoye, Like you I would've gone for the Mesa, too, normally... and just sell 'em if I won 'Cause I've no use for them. However, I thought the Keeley package was of use/interest to me personally and I would keep it if I won it. Mesa was around $800, Keeley $500... IIRC.

Yeah that's what I meant. Fuzzy phased out drums are sounding awesome

The good news is, mine shows "out for delivery". The bad news is, it's in Novato, California (140 miles away), which has a zip code that differs by one digit. Looks like they must have done a typo in the zip code.

Now it will probably go all the way back to Michigan before it gets back to me.

Sigh. Mine has been sitting in Novato for 3 days. No response from either USPS or the BeatBuddy support during that time as to why my package is just sitting in Novato.

It is common with mistaken addresses for there to be a bit of a delay- usually when they are undeliverable as addressed they get put in a pile to be hand-sorted ( they are usually just scanned by a machine the whole time). If the rest of the address is correct and you are lucky about who checks it, they will forward it to you. Otherwise it'll get returned to sender. I know this because I accidentally put the wrong Zip into a USPS machine- ended up taking an extra week and a half, but finally made it to the destination.

Very sorry about that. Please email me personally at [email protected] and we'll see if we can figure out what's wrong.

Mine's now stuck in sorting, in Hong Kong, I expect you to get onto Premier of China forthwith ;)

I'm getting on the phone with Mr. Xi Jinping now and threatening to cause an international diplomatic incident unless they release your BeatBuddy immediately!!!

 Sorry... but the truth is I've been moonlighting at a logistics company here in HK lately and  ... well, when I saw the BB package I just had to try it out, and then the forklift operator heard me jamming with it in the company canteen and he had to have a go (keyboard player), the dispatcher got wind of it and is playing jazz erhu over top of it as I type this... well, there's a few more people who've yet to try it including the GM (thinks he's SRV :rollno:) and we all want to keep our jobs so he has to have a go. BUT, I promise you as soon as the GM is done with it I'll tape it up and get it out the loading-bay door onto the plane.

The good news is:

For DownUnderWonder - It's been tested and is completely functional/operational all modes/beats/sounds.
For DavidPackouz - you'll have a few more orders ;) from the Logistix Crew (that's what we're calling our drummerless band, if only we can figure out a way to keep the GM out).

Again, sorry. Don't call the premier, no need for an international incident... :bag:

Thanks David. I got hold of the USPS Consumer Affairs last night. They said the address is correct and it was just mis-sorted. She put a priority on it to get it going again. Status this morning shows it at West Sacramento, which is a good sign. I think most of our mail goes through there, so it may be moving in the right direction.
