World's most beautiful basses

If it's still the best playing bass you've played with the bridge that high up on the body, I'm guessing it's either a short scale or you have a reeeeeally long left arm
It's a short scale (32"). But the "best playing" comment comes from the neck angle, which brings back the left hand a little bit, so you don't have to reach forward. It makes the instrument really comfortable to play - but, this is just my opinion.

That's a point I've brought up in the past- people almost always go for their own even if there's nothing particularly special about it, so it often sounds biased. Your fretless is one of my current favorites- I could never deal with an unlined board again, but yours makes me want to try
The two most beautiful basses that I can think of are my Elrick fretted five and this Benavente fretted five. My Elrick was owned by a couple other TBers before me, and several times I could be quoted here on TB as saying it was the most beautiful bass I'd seen well before I got the chance to purchase it, so I'm not biased as far as that one goes. It's the reason I purchased it in the first place.

Awful lot of... ah, never mind. Why not have an ugly bass thread? Surely we're not that thin-skinned around here.
What's the worst possible outcome? Somebody calls all my basses (Mostly Fenders and Musicmans) ugly? Why would that bother me?
By the way, the beautiful basses everyone has shown, are beautiful!

To a lot of folks, it would be like calling their kids ugly. It doesn't go over well. Someone can call my bass ugly and I don't care as long as people are respectful about it. But, that rarely happens and people go overboard in both directions.

Too bad you don't live near me so you could try it out for fun. Btw, every time I bring this bass I get compliments on the tone, and I don't always get that on other basses. I am not sure why, but it kicks ass soundwise.

I think Warrior Instruments make some of the most beautiful basses, period.

This is kind of like asking who's the most beautiful woman, the cutest pet, or the most stylish car. So for me it's my wife, my dog and my Mustang.
Really, though, I like natural woods, and I like certain painted colors. Two of my favorite basses (which also happen to be mine

Dang near every bass is beautiful in some way. I don't get why people have a thing against "coffee table" basses. Some dude carved a bass out of wood, why not let nature show off as well?
The most beautiful bass guitar I've ever seen (a picture of) is DC Olson's White Falcon with the custom bass Bigsby:
