i know petey very, very well. i used to sub for him here in san antonio. you think his prog or metal playing is awesome, you need to hear his funk stuff in a top 40 climate. he is amazing and mature. he is also the most humble and thoughtful person i have hung out with.

i miss those days of getting drunk with my old chap. he just moved to new york to get more serious with Riot.

i'm glad to hear there are people on this site that have heard and respect pete.

I've been fortunate enough to be studying under Troy for the last year and a half or so. He's really changed the way I approach playing now in a good way.
If you're into ZH, the Death Machine CD is going to throw you for a curve at first, but it still very progressive, just more on the heavier side. I heard a few of the new tracks they plan on recording for the second album and they are amazing. Very technical like ZH with lots of odd time signatures and change-ups, and it's really heavy! I expect to see them getting big in the next year or so.

That´s cool NJL. It must be nice to know a kickass player like him. He has made the bands he has played in so much better (Riot and Spastic Ink, Any other bands he has played in?)

Yes hes fast but he is also funky as you said.

I'll only say this again(& again)-
Some wonderful players have been named...being labeled the "best technician" is NOT usually a compliment.
That said, the "best technicians" I've seen are the nameless guys at NAMM shows.
