Love Caron too - he's an all round beast - slapping beautifully cleanly - awesome musicality - and six string - UNLINED - fretless is just superb - saw him Mike Stern and the man can play! There are some great video clips on his website BTW

I saw him with Mike Stern and a great drummer whose name escapes me. He is a technical master and his tone was INCREDIBLE.

Another vote for Anthony Jackson. For the most part, most technical players bore me to tears, Anthony Jackson can be very technical yet he never lets it get in the way of the groove or the song. A good well rounded player all around.
