Worn out Drivers..

Do speakers become worn out (less punchy, less warm) as they get years and years of use? If so, what parts of the speaker deteriorate(from playing, not storage conditions)?

Sometimes the speaker cones will get flabby, not as stiff, this will affect the tone some and make it easier to fart out on low notes. Usually takes quite a while for that to happen

Ths suspension does get softer, the effect is that the driver works even better down low, it seldom affects anything else.

If things sound different than they did several years ago, and the speakers have been in constant use during that time, it's actually more likely that it's your ears wearing out rather than the speakers.
