Worship Bass Pedalboards

I recently acquired a Darkglass Alpha Omega Ultra and had already planned to acquire a Boss Bass Chorus and a TC Sub-N-Up. So if the combination of those pedals can give me a synth-ish feel, then I will likely experiment with that before investing into a dedicated synth pedal. I went with the ebs chorus as it switchable between chorus, flanger, and phaser. Not sure if the boss does so just throwing it out there. It's great with my subnup and different drives, distortions, fuzz etc.

Fantastic stuff as always. And great tunes. I love that Resurrecting song. "The tomb where soldiers watched in vain was borrowed for three days . . ." is one of my favorite lines from a worship tune. It gets me pumped up every time.

Thanks! TBH I didn't love the song when I was learning it, but once we got in the room as a band, it was awesome.

I use a Line 6 G30 wireless, into a boss TU-2, into a Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig, into a Digitech Ricochet, into a Visual Sound Visual Volume pedal. I DO have problems with the volume pedal lately. I keep getting a hiss.

My favorite bass to play is a custom Carvin 5 string kit bass made by a talkbasser, but I use a Spector Euro 5LX for sound. Sound guys seem to like the Spector better and find it easier to adjust in the booth.

Eventually, I want to get a Strymon Timeline for the bass. There is an intro I play for a song called. "Hail To The King" which I wrote to be slow and spacey at first with some echo. I do this by hand currently, but would like to have a button to allow me to hold or kill the echo.

When I'm not feeling like dealing with pedals and such, I plug the Spector into a splitter with one end going to an older model Fender Rumble combo and the other to the PA.

About to order a volume pedal, verb, delay, and another drive.. all EQD .. probably throw a filter in as well

I feel your pain ;) And I just got shipping notification on a Bananana Matryoshka. I think I will be able to squeeze it on my PB, but nothing else, with removing something.

I'm actually putting two boards together that will be able to run together, if needed..
Nothing beats a simplistic board, so that'll be .. Noble - tuner - dirt - comp
The second will be all the "fun with noises/sounds "...:thumbsup:

We only have keys bass and drums so i end up playing leadish lines + bottom end duties where usually that treble end of it would be a guitar...
Rig-wise a markbass 610 cab and GK700rb head are way more than enough for the volume we need and the rb actually has a great eq so i dont use anything except a tuner.....

I guess i keep it pretty simple, just a precision (dr hi beams currently but not really into them....need flats again!!) and a tuner!
My brother lends me pedals all the time so ill end up getting a decent reverb and most likely a nice delay, but other than that its all in the fingers right? Haha

Made me laugh the other day, i was looking for rig vids on youtube and chris tomlins bassist was like ' i used to have heaps of pedals and it sounded awesome on stage, but if youre in the audience it just sounds like a bass' lol. He just uses a tuner now....

This is SO ME lately... I love my board, but the longer I go the more I realize that for the most part nobody can really hear the difference between my straight signal, dirty channel on my Le Bass, Reverb on/off, chorus, etc. I've gotten to where other than my compressor, my signal stays pretty consistent other than laying on a little drive every now and then.

my P has a quarter pounder and i like how expressive it can be (yes...not just blaring treble!). i only play fingerstyle and its actually pretty responsive to percussive playing & volume.

so yeah thats my worship 'rig' ....bass, amp, cab...and a lead..

I ordered a custom size Friday... now the wait begins. I called, chatted, and emailed asking questions and I was really pleased with how engaged Mike was. It won me over. I will post some photos when I get it.

Skillet / for KING & COUNTRY / Ledger concert was a lot of fun, but seeing John Cooper rather uninterested in actually playing his bass was a pretty big letdown.

No pedal board to show. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It just ain't right, I tell ya. So was there another bassist, or were the bass parts on tracks or dubbed on keys?

No other bassist. I assume backing tracks - Korey was playing guitar rather than keys like 90% of the time. The techs were bringing him his bass and taking it away in the middle of songs. The breakdown was something like actually playing along with the track - 5%; moving hands as though playing but possibly not really playing at all - 25%; wearing the bass but only singing/doing hand motions to pump up the crowd/etc. - 30%; no bass in sight - 40%.
