You never really know. It sounds like a P to me, but it could honestly be just about anything. You can't judge by music videos, because they don't necessarily play in the music videos what they play in the studio. The couple of times I was in a band that made videos, I know I didn't. You gotta play what looks cool. Nobody care what it sounds like in the music video. All that said, you could be right.

Keep it simple. Get a good bass, good strings, set it up right, practice, get familiar with the fretboard so you can find your way around it without staring at your hands. Get a good amp or a good preamp/direct box. Develop a good core sound/tone. Any effects should only enhance/compliment the core sound you already have going on. It can get way out of control really quickly with effects. A little goes a long way. And always serve the song. Don't go overboard or try to do things to draw attention to yourself because you think it sounds cool, if it's not what's best for the song and the moment you're trying to create in worship. Also, more important than effects - in my opinion - is listening to each other as a team and playing well together. Especially locking up with the drummer and providing a solid foundation for the rest of the band to build on.

That's my two cents, anyway.

Been thinking about shaking things up and getting a Noble for preamp.... But not sure if I would dig the fact that the Noble doesn't really do "clean" all that well. After a lot of research I ordered one of these from Russia and it's really wowing me. The gain delivers clean to broken up tubey goodness and I love the 8x10 cabsim. The eq is not drastic but totally useable across the whole dial. Anybody else use one FOH?

You're the first person I've seen posting they have one. Shift Line has some neat ideas, but haven't seen much review of them in North America yet. I've wondered how they stack against a BDDI type Ampeg/SVT type pedal - That seems to be what they're going for, although they don't come right out and say it.

I've looked at these, the demo clips seem pretty good. Is it configured for 110/120 volt US power? This would probably be great going directly to a mixer, but does it send enough signal to power a power amp? Depends on the power amp I suppose.

How are you running it (into) ?

The Noble does clean very well. You can also push it for a little fur. There are lots of videos on You Tube, and their website. It isn't sterile, like some solid state pre's.

My NYC pedalboard works perfectly for the REDDI. This is their "Pedalhead" board. You can also order a custom size.

Now thats what I am talking about! Did you have to order a taller top or does the standard size fit on it without issue? Mike was recommending a custom size board and I was spacing something like 24 X 18 to allow the REDDI to run front to back and allow room for cords. That still is to be determined. My main goal is to cut down the boxes carried in by one and reduce the amount of time it takes me to set up. I am always the first one there and the last to go. Some days thats just not a good choice.

Also, I've heard the carpet on the board needs to be replaced periodically. What are your thoughts on this? Also, did you just attach the REDDI with velcro?

Thanks for your reply... I really like everything I have seen about them to this point and think I will be ordering soon.

Nice. So just like the Olympic MKIII then. Its definitely not sterile, but can be "clean" unless the gain is increased pushing it into nice breakup. At the price point, this little guy is pretty intriguing. I definitely like the form factor.

I've tweaked it a couple times but have pretty much settled in on a setting now.
Never been a big tube guy so I don't need/miss that I guess.
I just like that it sounds more "there" in my ears.

To a certain extent, I wish I could afford one of those great tube units for my direct only pedalboard, because I miss playing with my Demeter rack tube pre. But there are enough devices these days that seem to emulate it well enough that you really don't miss it. At least I don't. And you don't have to worry about the tube going out on you during a gig, or your pedalboard getting tossed into the back of the trailer and knocking the tube lose or breaking it or something.

This OCSD has been built up so much in my mind that I hope it can live up to my expectations. It may not be fair, but I'm basically banking on this thing to change my life at this point. It had better poop golden eggs. I fully expect it will.

It's just the standard top. I used the Velcro that NYC offers as an add on to affix the REDDI and I haven't had to remove the feet. I was a little concerned about holding its weight, so I tested it holding it upside down and it didn't budge.

As for the carpeting, it seems pretty durable, I've only moved some pedals a few times since I've had the board. It's a little different than typical soft Velcro I've seen. It's a really thin carpeting, but it works well.

I don't know if it's life changing, but it really did change how I'm hearing myself - and how others are hearing me - in my/our IEM's and even at the FOH.
