Yep. We did this one on Easter. The key is a Pbass (or I had to use my jazz favoring the neck pickup) played with a pick, some light overdrive, which I got from my Darkglass VMT, and some compression. I love Shane and Shane, but I prefer the Phil Wickham version. The bass is even more rocking in that one.

I'm no expert. Just a guess. And yeah, probably JDI nice at least.

You already have it covered with the vt, but does the HX have good low gain drive options?

I love that it has the legacy effects- I really dig the m series Octaver!

This was my newly configured pedalboard in use tonight. I have a Bananana Matryoshka synth pedal preordered last month that I expect later this month. Then done for now. This sucker is getting heavy! Power and MicroThumpinator are under the hinged top.

Yes, for a quick tone shift. I kicked it in on Spirit Move this evening. I'm playing a 4 hour classic rock gig at an American Legion Saturday. It will get a workout there into an amp (Genzler MG 800, and Baer cabs). I didn't have a lot of chance to experiment, as we were on a pretty tight schedule.

I use mine as a slight boost. Basically have the Dry signal at unity and Girth and Growl at about 8:00. Adds a little kick choruses/bridges/etc to help bring the energy up when needed. I have used the Mid+ before with very good results to get a cool synthy sound.

It's the best tracking analog octave pedal I've used. Without a comp upstream it doesn't track well on three notes on my basses: Open A, open E and low F on the E string. With a comp upstream it doesn't track well on open E.

That's a really good idea. I might have to try that with my Sub 'n Up. More of a subtle boost/thickening.

Quite the setup. It's interesting that you put the modulation effects before your drive and cab sim. I always thought it was supposed to be the other way around. Like, you'd want to reverb your drive sound, not drive a reverb sound. But I may have to give that a try. And I was curious about the compressor. I thought it was supposed to be first as well, but it makes my drive pedals less touch-sensitive. I'm going to try putting mine later in the chain as well.

There have been a lot of additions to this pedalboard lately, and NOTHING is in final position (except the Noble and tuner). The nice thing about the loop is that I can move all three of those pedals further down the chain with a quick cable swap. I'm going to be doing just what you said the next time.

I like what I'm seeing out of those EBS flat cables too. It would definitely help my setup. Especially once I get my looper from Loop-Master, which at this rate will be another few months, and by then I'll probably be over using pedals again.
