Does the Passive DI boxes put out noticeable lower volume levels?

Typically yes. The general rule is to use an Active DI with a passive bass and a Passive DI with an Active bass. As @SteveC said the FOH will have to run your line with higher gain to make up for a passive direct box. Especially if you're playing a passive bass into a passive DI. Am contemplating the CountryMan DI as you can use a 9V in lieu of phantom power. Still investigating that though.

I used a countryman for years and really enjoyed using it. The one downside was that the battery replacement requires a screw driver. Not a big deal but a pretty bullet proof box.

I gave it up when I started using a Jule Monique, which is incredible but probably above budget for this conversation. I ended up getting the Motown DI as it turns out having a really small box that fits in my gig bag fits a need. It sounds really great and I use it with two different passive basses to no ill effect. The Motown not being as bullet proof with a knob and switch on the face you can't just step on it like the countryman.

I never did get a chance to side by side the countryman and the Motown DI but I'm happy with what I have and if I instead had the countryman I'd probably be just as happy.

I didn't think the radial JDI or JDV to compare as favorably.

I have used my JDI with passive basses as well with great results. It is last on my DI/IEM board right now.
Your 350 and pair of cabs will be a great rig.

I used a JDI as my primary DI for over 10 years prior to getting my Noble 3-1/2 years ago. I actually had two. Both are now in the hands of P&W Club members.

I definitely would not worry about a passive DI with your setup. The output of your G30 essentially will act as a buffer. I believe the the Spectracomp, with it's 1M ohm input impedance and 100 ohm output impedance, will also act as a buffer. You will have no issue at all with the passive DI, and may even see no difference in gain needed.

Here's my setup. I had Korg multi-effect pedal for years but this past year I decided to go with individual pedals. It's so much easier to change things on the fly now. Before I never dared to make any changes.
I really like the Keeley Bassist as an always on tool. I use it round off the peaks if I start digging in hard.

Had to work on a demo for EQD and for some reason all I could come up with is a multi layered bass only cover of 'Do It Again'

Also, I've had this pedal for over a year and have used it every weekend since. By far the best combo reverb/delay I've used that has so many good sounds in it, but more importantly has the thick richness type sound I need for my pad swells. I don't ever like to really 'push' products, I like to just show what they are capable of and let users decide what they like. But I will say, this pedal is everything it appears to be and it holds up well.

Need suggestions...I've been creating a nice little pedal board and need to find either a really nice DI pedal or Preamp-DI. My budget is max $399 and under. What is good for a good clean full bass tone?

I am curious as to what sort of goal you're aiming for with this addition.

If you just want a good sounding DI, there's none better in that range than the Neve RNDI, well under your budget.

If you want a preamp, you want clean or dirty? Tube or transparent?

Cleanish to dirty and tube sound: Shift Line Olympic. Great EQ options, colored sound, amazing end result.

Modern and clean? Maybe the clean side of a B7K Ultra? And have the overdrive on standby?

I think you can cover a lot of ground with the Shift Line, or just an RNDI (what I use)

I've also been really thinking about the Carey Nordstrand Starlifter Preamp DI as I love his stuff. I'm very interested in that preamp as well. I have a standing invitation to go visit their shop and play around, but logistically it's hard to get over there. I may have to revisit my calander and make this happen.

My current setup is RNDI, I'm in the same boat as not needing much tone shaping for my main bass. But for my Star Bass or Sire I still need a little more help to get them to where I need, so the Olympic is my helper. I'm also looking to get a Olympic for the studio setup as well as my travel board. Having a side of each is like a dream haha.

If you go just DI, then the RNDI is the way to go. If you're looking for a clean and transparent preamp with a DI, I can't recommend the Broughton Messenger enough! But that may be more eq than you're looking for.

QQ - I've had the tonehammer for a while, rarely really use the EQ on it, and don't use AGS bc I hit it too hard. I'm looking for a replacement that is not called Noble.

I run a decent amount of dirt week to week, should I look for a cab sim or a preamp with cab sim? Would I fare better with just a DSM omnicabsim deluxe and skipping a preamp at the end of my chain? I use a Sadowsky Metro primarily, so I usually have all the EQ I need there.

You're right in the price range of the Mesa Subway Plus model and I can not recommend it enough. I just upgraded from the non-Plus model and it really is phenomenal. Options for days for tone and hooking everything up!
