I took then Sadowsky DI/Pre off. Don't need the level adjust and the Radial JDI sounds better. However...
I still wish I had a warmer less brittle/bright sound in my ears. I tried things like the Omnicab Sim and while good, it just wasn't quite what I wanted.
I know you guys like the Noble a lot. At $1000 I'm just not quite sure. I tried a REDDI and taking to my drummer today he thought that he remembered it not being as defined and say the JDI. I'm not sure what to try - or if I should. Maybe I'm just chasing something that I won't find it the difference from my JDI is just so minimal that it isn't worth it. I'm trying the JDI this Saturday for a gig (along with flats on the P) so we'll see. Maybe it'll be fine.

Yes, this. The LPF portion cuts the brittle, piercing high end stuff. Really focuses your tone. Especially both the LPF and HPF together.
Had an interesting issue today. Apparently our soundboard has some sort of protective circuitry that didn't like how hot my signal was and cut me out almost completely during the service. I could still hear myself slightly in my in ears but had practically no output. After the first set and the sermon when we came back up everything was back to normal but the sound guy had turned the gain down on my channel slightly. I turned down the output level on the BDDI V2 for the second service and had no issues for the whole set. It had cut out once during rehearsal but we thought it might have been a connection issue since when I stopped playing for a minute and messed with the XLR it came back. I guess in hindsight it was just the protection circuit had reset since I wasn't playing.
Hi and low pass will do more than a tube to warm it up? Do you loose some tone when you cut lows and highs like that? I don't have a lot of experience with this.
I think you'd be amazed at what a Low + High Pass Filter will do for you. I agree with you on the OCSD, but Broughton's L+HPF has a quiet noise floor, transparent, and really focuses your tone. The boost feature is really handy for fine tuning your output, too...

I use other means now (Broughton RFE, and Berg HP amp has both built in)...but both filters are invaluable for focusing YOUR bass tone...
Hmm. $165 is better than $500-$1,000 I suppose. I do like my JDI a lot - other than my IEM sound is a little less than I'd like. FOH sound is fine. Everything is so exposed/exaggerated when you use IEM's you know.
Seriously, throw one of these on your board...say goodbye to brittleness, and give your sound person whatever signal level they want, given the bass being used...and shape your IEM tone.
