If it truly is quiet, that looks like a great choice! The "Amp Gain" on the OCS Mini was great, but there was just too much noise for me with it. This seems like it might have improved the noise, while keeping the gain control.

I have a bass fly rig that I use sometimes too. What settings do you use? I found myself only really using the sansamp and the tuner, so I ended up getting a VTDI to use instead.

Honestly though, I do know ONE soundman that is the Jaco Pastorious of live sound. He can add effects where they belong as long as he knows the song. He is an absolute sound genius.

Latest version. I'm swapping the Cali76 TX-L from the Effectrode LA-1A for the next month or so.
Please share your thoughts on how the two compare after you've had some quality time with the Cali.
I'm rebuilding mine. Heres what I'm thinking:
I play both acoustic and bass. So the signal will go input>tuner>placeholder (hyper luminal compressor)> vintage microtubes > Hx effects > a/b switcher > bass to AOU (DARKGLASS B7K...no icon for aou) and acoustic to the DI.
I've ready I can alternate which output it goes from on the HXE but I want it simple. Simple AB for which output is gonna be easy.

March 1st & 6th will be the first times out with this rig. Both times though will be going into my Bergantino rig. No direct gigs on the horizon.
I use the basic "smooth tube style" setting from the manual—pretty much as suggested. Works great.
Seems a lot of folks have had problems with sound technicians! I guess I have from time to time too. But not in the church in Montreal that I attend. We are lucky as we already have a solid sound system (upgrading to a very quality line array next month) and a top notch tech who also works sound for the events (concerts, etc) we host and for other major events in town. I often get compliments on how good the bass sounds—I always say "thanks, but it's not really due to me, it's all b/c of our sound guy, Gideon."
In all seriousness, that's really awesome! You are VERY fortunate/blessed. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be the norm...I know it wasn't for me.
