The only upside I can see to going back wired is that it will free a precious space on my pedal board and I could add one more.

My dilemma with pedal boards is I need to buy one for my guitar eventually because now I just have a bunch of pedals to carry in a bag and set up is a pain. My longer term dilemma is that I really want a few more pedals for my bass and I'm at my limit without giving something else up. Getting into a larger bass pedal board means new pedal board cost and also another 2nd power supply, then have to do the same again for the guitar. Keeps me from buying pedals.

Or, should I get a decent size larger pedal board (like a 36) and just make one pedal board for both guitar and bass? I'm intrigued by this because I have used some of my bass pedals on my guitar already. VMT sounds awesome on guitar and bass. In the opposite direction, I've used my Keeley Plus guitar compressor on my bass and it is really cool too. Interesting to switch between single coil and humbucker on both guitar and bass. Gives a different effect. I'm sure others of my pedals would be cool on guitar and vice-versa.

Do you also run a tuner on your current board? If so, you may consider a Shure GLXD16. Two birds with one stone since it's a wireless receiver that also doubles as a tuner. Granted, it's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for as there's zero noticeable latency. There are deals to be found for used models.

My main board for indoors and on IEM's is all hardwired with a similar setup that runs my ears and bass signal cables through a single cable sheath. No point having wireless since I stand in one spot on my Bassboard.

However, I made a second smaller board for playing amplified and outdoors with our second campus. It's battery powered and I added a Shure GLX wireless unit to it to make it a very clean setup. The only cable on the ground is a single signal cable. Had I made it wired and not battery powered there would have been two signal cables and a power cable running from it, which wasn't ideal when power is limited and I wanted a clean space around my feet.

I think I know what you're talking about. I've seen a couple of posts from folks on here. One was for the Nashville Bass Pack from Line 6. The other was the Blake Bass Preset from Alex Strabala.

I see The Drop pedal. I have one but when the singers want to go a half-step or full step 'up' I can't find the same Key on the thing. But when they go down.. no prob. But I guess they do call it the Drop!!

Transposing up for me is not the issue.
I use it because the bands I work with or fill in with use different tunings 440, 1/2down, or1full step down
It allows me to play without having to retune and at 1full step down bass strings get pretty mushy

I did a lot of research before I purchased it and found that to function properly the Digitech Drop must be first (1st) o your signal chain.
You must change the pitch before add in any effects otherwise you will get latency issues
After hearing me use it on a gig several long time musicians have purchased it
For bass it starts to lose quality below 1 1/2 steps
One jame band I play with we use it only for certain songs that need to be lowered for vocals

Had rehearsal tonight, and phase one of the sound adjustment was a success. Finding I am enjoying the sound of passive soapbars more than anything else, so I am excited I got to find a setup where they work well. Start of the chain is bass -> Darkglass Harmonic Booster -> Boss TU-3W -> OBNE Signal blender -> DSM Bass Station as always on effects, and I have the base of a great tone. Tonight was getting the tweaking done at actual stage level, and the sound guy loved it.

Phase two is going to be dialing in the dirt pedals I have in loop 1 of the Signal Blender. Already have a start with the Wampler Belle, which is currently on a trial run against the Way Huge Pork and Pickle. The Belle is giving a wonderful warm fullness, especially in front of the Bass Station preamp, but I am thinking it would be a lot better if I wasn't playing on flatwounds. It isn't getting farty or anything, it just seems to dial very quickly from light breakup to heavy drive very quickly, and I think I'm just not giving it the higher end sparkle it needs to sing at the lower drive levels. Might also eventually switch over to an MBD2 in the future, I think it'll just fit in the space.

Phase three starts when the EHX HOG2 arrives and I start messing with pad and organ sounds.

IT CAME :hyper: I added an Arkham Oracle this week, and got a chance to use it last evening at rehearsal... very-very nice! :thumbsup: FOH was loving the signal it was getting through the TI Box, and the Empress Bass Comp also pairs well. I can't believe that I got it all on a Metro16! I can see the Oracle DI version in the future.

The cable is an XBass Combo Cable - Combined Instrument send to pedalboard & In-Ear Monitor feed from monitor mixer.

This is mine, I cleared just enough space for a M5, to have chorus or other single effects that I don't use often. I've found the Drop to be indispensable when it comes to last min key changes. I transpose yes, but often, I need the open notes or other notes to be Open or the sound to be lower in the register to sound right. The pitchfork can backup the drop and it's polyphonic.
