Palm Sunday. We were asked to wear red...

With the L-1000, I'm using just the Spectra Comp and Q Strip. Fretless adds the Spark just to level it out and make it sing a little.

The Q Strip is new. Enjoying it so far, but I do need to spend a little more time learning the EQ interactions. I hit on something good for today though.

Thank you, it was custom body made for me to work with a '57 reissue neck that I had. I had just recently tried a '56 P Bass at Gruhn in Nashville that had a similar neck, and then it was also was heavily influenced by this Sadowsky, which got the wheels going in my mind about how I would have done it. It is a Poplar body. I changed the pickup locations to that of a P Bass, instead of modern soap position, with the J pup in 60s location, and a custom Carbon Fiber look pickguard, similar to the Sadowsky. It also has a Sadowsky 3 knob preamp.

So far I'm really digging it! The feedback loop thing is pretty awesome once you get the level dialed in, as it made a big difference in my low B. It's a big heavy and the added cables are a slight hassle but those are the only downsides. I love how accurate the monitoring now is!

Does it need to be a case like that, or would you consider something lighter like ABS? Rockboard sells their pedalboards with live-in ABS cases that have detachable lids. I have the Quad 4.2 model and it's a fantastic setup.

the Noble is considered one of the best for a reason as it sounds phenomenal no matter the bass you send through it. I gigged it for a long time and had great results. Only reason I decided for something else was I wanted a little more control of the EQ. My current setup of the Broughton Messenger and Khan Tube DI gives me a more controlled Tone and killer Tube presence in the mix. Band and sound engineer all thought and wanted me to keep the khan and Messenger over the Noble. I've never been happier with my setup.
