Worship Bass Pedalboards

Drummer and I had a long discussion about changing a good thing just to see if a new thing would be marginally better. Bass switching, having presets, etc. Idk. What I have works. Something all dialed in and preset would be awesome, but the form factor of a head isn't exactly floor friendly. The analysis paralysis continues.
I'm finding the same thing over and over...I set my multifx pedal up and leave it on the whole time. Always the same fx: Compressor->Drive->Amp sim->passive DI. I essentially use the volume pedal and tuner pedal. I could get by with a rack unit, but my board only weighs 10-15lbs. I like the tone, but it almost seems like overkill. Anyone else feel the same?
If four out of the six pedals you use regularly are successfully handled by a multi, I'm inclined to think it's not overkill at all. Its light and easy to transport, you like the tone...sounds like you're all set.
It seems that the smart money is on Berg doing a floor pedal version of one of their amps at NAMM… probably the B|Amp, but I would prefer something simpler, like the Forte HP (no amp section)

If it ain't broke don't fix it. (Says the man who has been unspeakably happy with his "perfect tone" over and over again, and yet keeps changing things). But if you like what you've got going on, don't be like your Uncle Rick here. Just keep your money and leave it alone.
Yeah, wait until January and see I guess. Must be I'm just itching to buy something. Been looking at cars and laptops, too.
I think my next purchase will be a Noble DI. Would it be wise to power all my pedals off of it, or just keep using my CIOKS and run an extra cable for the Noble?
I used my Noble to power a Shure GLXD wireless, Cali76CB- 18 volt, Broughton Messenger and some LED lights underneath with no issues and it was dead quiet.
Anyone played around with one of these for bass?
I watched some reviews online with electric guitars and it seems like they can get sounds pretty close to a violin.

On my zoom B1x there's an effect called "slow attack". Combine it with a long regenerative delay and a little chorus to fatten it up; and it sounds fantastic. Used it a lot on Sunday during long vamps and breakdowns in songs where drums dropped out and/or a speaker was speaking over the
music. I was really surprised how well it worked. It sounded a lot like a synth pad. I'll try to narrow down the part in our YouTube where I'm using it.
As long as they're all non-digital pedals you can power whatever you want off the Noble. It's filtered power but not isolated. Digital pedals = noisy
There is a similar feature on the bass microsynth. The attack delay in there can give you a cello like sound.
So, let's add this to the equation for me. I'm in the market for a new MacBook air. My desktop is a relic and barely runs anymore. Being an educator, Apple gives us a little discount on hardware and software. With a MacBook Air purchase, I can get a suite that includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and MainStage. Our keyboard payer uses MainStage for his rig. There are bass modules as well. So...maybe I try MainStage? No more digital than say a Bergantino B|Amp, or HX Stomp, or whatever. Everything there. Effects, compression, filters, etc.
One of our keys players uses MainStage. He also plays drums, and has used MainStage with electric drums to get better sounds. I haven't used MainStage, since I use Windows, but some of my favorite guitar tone has come from re-amping through modeling software. Let us know if it works out for you!
The educator purchase for that suite was well worth it. My son wanted all of those for Christmas one year so I put them on my MacBook Air.
There's not a ton of bass specific stuff, only one compressor, etc. MainStage is only $30 so it's not a big deal. I have an interface and keyboard that would work as a controller so I could try it out for very little expense. Just need to get the laptop, which I'd get anyway. IDK. Might be worth a try.
