I usually run the blend about 2 to 2:30. This pedal is perfect IMO for TIAG.

Quite literally every week. I only don't play if I'm out of town for a weekend. I do wish we'd have another bassist so I could rotate. The only other times I don't play bass is when we don't have a guitarist, but then I have to play guitar instead like again this weekend and about once a month or so. LOL. I do wish we had more guitarists too!The amount of options available today is just remarkable.
So here is a first-world problem I am facing this week: ordered a pedal from a company and I mentioned that I am playing at my church this coming week so I would like to pay more for shipping (to Canada from the States) so I can try it on the weekend. Guy said, "sure," charged me a lot for shipping and then proceeded to ship it a day late (i.e. paid on Friday, shipped late Monday night after cutoff) and it will arrive on Monday. So no new pedal for worship this week.But it's all good. Life happens.
Question for you all: how often do you play at church?
I play basically every Sunday. I am off on occasion if I'm out of town. Sometimes during the summer when we aren't always all here, I'll play guitar for someone to sing with.
It's my Pinstripe Pedal LWDI. The guy who makes them is super knowledgable, but his response times are a bit strange. Every email I have gotten from him has been super late at night, and he ghosted me for a solid 5 days when I told him I would like to buy the pedal. It's weird but not a deal breaker.

To your question, it depends. I play bass and guitar and lately I'm scheduled every week but usually it's more like every other week.
Well, he said to contact him if international to get a better quote which was fine. And he did say he would ship it Monday, but my expectation would be that it would be received by Fedex on Monday, not Monday night after last shipment was picked up.
Again, just a small annoyance, definitely won't detract me from purchasing from him again, he makes some slick utility pedals.
I usually play bass at church once, maybe twice a weekend. I am one of the lead sound engineers at my church and they have decided I am much more valuable as a sound guy than a bassist.
I play as often as required. Usually a couple of times a month, but, if I'm there, I'm available.
Another option is MXR Thump. It has bass and treble frequencies 40/4 that are the same as Sadowsky - for $100 less and 1/2 the size.

I should mention that I use a pick on that song. One of the few that I use a pick, but playing the fast verses, I find it easier running a pick up and down. This also gives more grind than fingers alone, so you may want to adjust for flavor depending on how you play it. In any case, I've never had anyone on the worship team give anything other than compliments on the grit as they are used to the original already containing it. It will blend in full band much more than you'd think.
I have an active 5 string and a passive p bass. I just set my active's volume to be the same as my passive and it works like a charm.
I haven't noticed any real difference once I dial in the volume. I use a Cali76 and from my experience, it hits the compressor roughly the same. I run my P-bass fully cranked, and my active like 60% and the metering on my Cali76 (and LAB) register the same.
I thought the metering looked almost the same (on my Empress which has pretty good metering I think) even when I left volumes the same. I think part of it is the very different tone of each bass. Passive P with rounds has plenty of punch and low end, but I have the bass boosted about 30-40 percent on the active bass so I think boosted low end also contributes to the "perceived" volume. I bet if I dialed the preamp on the Sadowsky flat there would be almost no noticeable difference. But I like that added bottom on the Sadowsky.
If you're trying to match levels and boosted lows between them, then maybe something like a Boss GEB-7. The boost here is simply more clean gain, not some type of overdrive. Passive basses (with boost) level matched with active basses (no boost). Send/return for other effects, and a great DI to boot. Pedal board friendly, both in physical size and power requirement. Amazing clarity and presence.
They are fantastic pedals. I don't need a DI as it'll run into my REDDI. Unless I find I like teh tone without my REDDI. Maybe.
