Ooooh! Horrothia Teeth? Tell me more! I love seeing new pedals I've never heard of before. Especially when someone combines them with a Noble and Cali, which tells me you know what you're doing. I just looked up their website. How do you like it? How do you use it?
That's why I went Stomp. I can use as much or as little as I want and change it all at the stomp of a footswitch.
Oh, I debated what to do for a long time. For anyone who knows me knows that's no surprise. I had a great "plain" board. Tuner, Empress Bass Compressor and Empress Para EQ Deluxe into a REDDI. That was the best bass tone I have ever had. At that time we started wanting to not use our personal stuff at church. Hence the Stomp. We could leave it there and whomever played bass could use it. It sounded great. I compared it to my analog rig, and no one really noticed a big difference, so then I went Stomp for my other personal gigs as well.I looked into the Stomp, but that was after I went with a few other individual pedals.
But, still, I think I would have gone the pedal route. Maybe it will change in the future, but I am feeling good that I have everything I need--I just need to organize it better. If they start adding songs with a lot of heavy synth and filter effects, that's when I might look more into the Stomp.
It's not that bad. The software helps a lot. I don't edit on the Stomp by itself at all. I was able to get some decent sounds. These days, I use Ian's presets almost exclusively as they sound great I have tweaked a couple synth ones for my taste. I am also going to spend some time over break to maybe do some more tweaking, add the Noble to the end of some of them. He uses 4 and 5 for some extra drives and such that I don't so I can free up some blocks there and still keep the original sound in tact.
Haha. Well, I'm not sure that I know what I'm doing. I just find stuff that I like and turn some knobs until it's more better.
I really like the Teeth. It has a parallel signal path, so the lows aren't as driven, and the mids and highs are more affected. So, the low end is retained. I know some people use the low gain drives as an always on type pedal, but I am using it as an effect. This is the first service I'm using it for. I have it after the Octabvre (octave mix set 50/50, tone halfway) and, this week, I'm using it for Go Tell it on the Mountain (we're doing the version that is linked below). I was using the Vintage MicroTubes, but I think the Teeth is a 'tighter' sounding pedal, which is what I'm going for with effects.
I also have the Horrothia chorus, which I will add to the bigger board.
Can you share a link or something to those presets, if they're for sale or download? We've recently gone silent stage so I'm looking for some easy to use settings for my Stomp.

I actually use the IMA SIG almost of the time. When I need synth I just tap all 3 and I'm good to go.
Yes, but as we often discuss, you'll know. And that might be all that matters. You'll probably play better and have an all around more enjoyable experience the better you sound and the better you feel like you sound. Case in point, I recently got a Backbeat. Totally unnecessary, and kind of a lot of money. More than I've spent on any pedal ever except my Stomp. And the worst part is, nobody will ever hear it or know the difference . . . because it makes no noise and has zero effect on my signal/tone. But I'll notice. And boy, what a difference it makes. I have yet to try it outside of the home, but it has made practicing and headphone jamming infinitely more enjoyable. It makes me feel like I sound better, even though there is literally zero difference in my tone.
