The HX One has been on my radar, I like the size factor for sure, and as someone who has never dabbled with the HX Line I like the lower entry fee to try it out.

I have a board for electric guitar and bass… blackstone usually is on the board for the guitar. I had Darkglass alpha omicron and I like it better than that for sure. It cuts thru the mix better and as there are a/b button for two gains level so I can have a lower gain a bit of grit for normal use (it gives a bit of a on the verge of breaking sound) and then higher gain for big choruses or instrumental sections when it needs. Sorry haven't used too many overdrive pedals. I have benson preamp pedal as well and I like blackstone better than darkglass and benson.
So my sound guy gives me two channels. One for clean and another for dirty channel. I split off from the tuner to clean and dirty. I had the compressor for elec guitar and I wanted to have a pretty compressed dirty line. Sunn Audio Stage DI at the end of the dirty channel has hpf and eq with mid sweep so I have it set for mid/high focused sound. Since I get a full bass sound from the clean channe so when the dirty channel is on it sounds REALLY full. OD pedal doesn't mess with the low frequency, I like the sound better than just going in 1 channel and having same eq for overdriven sound.
When I want more definition in my in ears, I'll just turn the blackstone off and it gives me more clarity.
Both compressors are always on.
Quick question for you guys I had my tryout for our team last night and it went well. I was just running my P Bass with Cobalt Flats through a Sadowsky Preamp they had and through the in ears it sounded good, only remark they made was they'd have to mix me a little deeper for my preset which I'm guessing is because I'm the only one running a Passive bass?
At any rate as I'm building my board I've got in mind adding an Empress Compressor into an Edison Preamp and then I'm looking at various DI boxes too. Sushi Box Finally V2, Origin Effects Black Panel and maybe the Super Vintage have all caught my eye, any suggestions for that realm? Effects I'll be adding too but our bassists don't tend to run alot.

The Empress Compressor is great, albeit a little sterile. I love the color switch set to the right, which adds a touch of drive and a slight mid boost. I run it in conjunction with an Effectrode PC-2A to round out the mojo I'm looking for.
You really can't go wrong with the SushiBox.
Effects-wise, get yourself an Octave, solid drive, fuzz, a Chorus/Reverb, and a Filter, and you'll be able to cover just about any modern worship tone out there.

When we were looking for something to leave at church for whomever is playing bass, we went with an HX Stomp. Cheap, has everything, can update, have presets for different people, etc. It works great. Just tossing it out there.
The Empress is a great compressor. I had one before I went Stomp. The ParaEQ Deluxe is also awesome.
I'm finding that I don't use effects much at all in church. I use octave once in a while when I'm playing long sustained notes and want kind of a synth/pad effect. I guess I've used a light drive on a chorus or bridge on occasion, but really, it would be fine without.
Before I went Stomp I was looking at the Bergantino Super Pre DI pedal. It had everything I thought I wanted, good preamp, compressor, drive, lots of options. If it had come out sooner I'd probably have one. I went Stomp instead as I also use it for synth bass sounds and it's my "all in one" solution.
As much as I like it, I still long for my REDDI tube DI sometimes. There's a Noble I'm almost ready to pull the trigger on as well. And I'm curious about the Bergantino as well. G.A.S. sucks. The reason I hold strong to the Stomp is that it does everything and I don't have to haul my big synth around.

Awesome thanks much! I was actually eyeballing some of Effectrodes stuff but wasn't super familiar with them.
Initially I was thinking maybe I needed a DI box with some of the EQ controls since I think I'll be leaving my Tone Hammer at home normally I think. But then again I could just let them EQ me up front anyway right?
I'm a total newbie but definitely look forward to learning as much as I can, I'm just excited to put my practice to good use, or try anyway

It sounds like they have everything you need there. BUT---my church does too, and I prefer to use my own gear.
I haven't tried the gear you mentioned, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of it. At that point, it just comes down to personal preference. If you don't need EQ, maybe a Khan tube DI could be an option? They aren't cheap, but less than an Edison AND an Origin. I used to do top 40 gigs with a DI right from my bass. But, we had a good sound crew. So, I never needed to adjust for FOH tone. I guess a lot of it will come down to how good the sound person is.

I second the Khan. I personally like the way it sounds better than the Nobles I've played.
I think I've talked myself off the Noble cliff. Maybe a Khan. Maybe just nothing. No one is complaining.
That's definitely fair, I already own an Edison so it was kinda just deciding what DI to pair with it.
Most of the pedal board is playing a dual roll in being the sound I like to hear when I'm just noodling at home, and effects being stuff I'd enjoy when not utilizing it at church as well.
I've owned both and preferred the Khan as well.
Power and footprint were the reasons I got rid of mine. The Oracle v2 I replaced it with can be powered by a Cioks Crux. I'm pretty happy with the Oracle, but sometimes I really miss the great out of the box, no fiddling with knobs tone of the Khan. Have yet to try a Finally, but it's on the list.
