I considered a Walrus power supply. I like that it has an AC outlet. It would be nice if Cioks would offer that.

Worship Bass Pedalboards

It would, but then it wouldn't fit under as many pedalboards - like the Pedaltain Nano/Nano+ for example.
I'll take the trade off for fit.
The AC outlet was what sold me on the Walrus initially. Great feature, but if Cioks did it they would have to fairly dramatically increase the size of their units.
I was going to try one of those. But, I ended up finding a dual outlet module for my board, with a power switch. I like having the power switch.
Yep! These are great. They also make a 3-way split version for those who run a mains powered tube DI, a power supply, and still need another outlet for something that can't be powered from the power supply.
Today's worship set-up. I went with the Bassrig '64 DI-out (SV Bassrig not used today) paired with my Fender P with TI Flats. Sounded pro. I really dig the HX One for a bass pedal board, Swiss army knife. Today I used two presets, the EBS Bass Octaver on two big bridges and the EHX Memory Man Vibrato & Echo on one delicate chorus.
I have a little space left on my board that an HX One would fill. I have a Stomp but I've had to edit some presets to make room for the "Regal" block. I've thought about getting an HX One and just using it as my "Regal/Noble" DI.

We were supposed to be a trio this morning: leader / vocals / acoustic guitar; vocalist / percussion; bass (me). The percussionist / vocalist was sick, so there were just two of us. Our set:

I used my standard pedalboard. Between various combinations of OD and flange and where I hit the strings, we had plenty of tonal coverage. I played more percussively than I would have otherwise, and I think it worked well. The WL was happy, everyone got into worship, so I guess it worked. I love playing with drums and/or[1] percussion, but one doesn't technically need them. I only took one bass today (the more aggressive of my two Greco Thunderbirds).
[1] Most of the times I've played where we've had both, I've played percussion. I'd love to be a in worship band with two kit drummers and other percussion... Think early Allman brothers with Steve Scales...
The HX One is easy to power, filled with great pedals/effects, sounds gorgeous in stereo. The tuner is actually very accurate and can eliminate yet another spot on the board. It's only one effect at a time, but that is all I need. I'm not stacking effects blocks and only use effects sparingly.
You do need the $20 external footswitch to move between presets easily, however. You can set the preset number range that cycles through with the footswitch. Today, I set it from preset 000 to 001. So, stomping the footswitch just toggled me between the two presets I was using today. Simple.

Nice. I notice 2 compressors. Is one always on and the other is an effect? Or do you switch them for different instruments...?
@projectapollo...Whats up brother, long time since out EBMM forum days. Do you ever think you would need an expression pedal to run with the HX One? I am sold on the unit but trying to decide if I want to get the pedal with it or not. Hope you have been well.
I love the Plumes (I know- rare around here!).
I use it alone if I need middy trebly cut (which happens with a busy kick drum and left hand heavy keys) through the mix.
I use it with the Alchemy Mod Ehx Bass Soul food if I want fuzzy distortion.
(I use the BSF alone for Mild-Medium OD)….
So I would think that the Blumes would
be great by itself or stacked for all kinds of cases- the video reviews sound pretty good to me.
My daughter seems to think the plumes is pretty enough to sit with my Julia so I was determined to find ways to make it work- even though some settings do cut low end. If the Blumes truly does keep the lows- winner.
Yes, the EBMM days seem long ago, indeed. Nice to hear from you. I don't use an expression pedal or effects that need one. So, I can't speak to that. But you will need the two button external switch to make selecting presets simple. I use the $18 ampero switch and it works great.
Def more of a classic rock tube overdrive compared to Darkglass which is more modern.
