You're spot on. I spent a lot of time in the digital world... There are endless options to be sure. Recently went all analog, yes I know FOH does its digital thing, but I love the tone I am getting. And... to your limitations point, I like knowing that I have a few knobs to fiddle with and get where I want to be.
I know, folks do love their Helix's and they are amazing revolutionary things, but I think I might just be an analog man in a digital world.

I was playing around with the ol Sansamp bddi v2… I’m tempted to build another small board with few basic effects just for fun, but could also be used in a worship setting.
Being that it lives in the case in backup land, I forget how useful it is…

I read in another thread you have a HXS on the way… solid choice! either the khan, RNDI or a radial JDI would be solid choices. Great “simple” set up capable of just about anything.

Correct. Also have a few other things as well I want to try. The Caveman BP1 paired with the REDDI sounds amazing. Pretty sure it would sound just as good with a Khan too. The Capo paired with a tube DI sounds like a cool option too. I think even I end up not liking the HXS enough for a pedal board option, it would be killer to have at the house for practice, messing around with all of the sounds, for the looper, and just all around inspiration. I play a little guitar…so maybe would find a use for it on a guitar as well
I listed a Neve RNDI today if anyone is interested. It became redundant to the CAPO.

Pretty common to put things on sale right when they're released; creates a sense of urgency in the consumer, afraid of not knowing when the price will be raised and therefore immediately purchasing. And the more of your product in the marketplace, the more voices advocating for it (hopefully), resulting in more customers seeing the sale and panic-purchasing, and the loop continues.
If they were straight-up priced at $97, theres no urgency in the purchase or FOMO on the sales price
