Change of pace and my son stole it for his guitar pedalboard for the time being.
The Bassdude really intrigued me as I lurked in the Sushi thread hehe. I take it you like it quite a bit to be on the board.
Using a couple of the new IMA presets tonight for a cover gig. The Juno with the octave down is a killer synth sound. Replacing my last one. The “Foundation” preset (Noble copy) sounds great as well. When I want a “P” tone I am trying that and my neck pickup on my Century 5.
Going to bring the Stomp at church home tomorrow and load up all the new stuff so I’ll have it available there as well.

i been stuck on my P bass since December. I’m sure I’ll end up with these presets at some point but I just bought another P bass so I can have one with rounds and one with flats, so I gotta hold off for a little bit.
I do, but I tend to go for a fender sound over ampeg when I can. I am trying to tame the drive still on it. I play an active bass and it is already driven at only 9 o’clock on the gain. That’s already with a 12AT7 swap for V1.
...and tomorrow's board for the church plant location I serve at frequently....
Steve -- I'm being lazy - but which of the IMA "packs" have you bought? I've been looking at them but thought I'd see which you recommend. Thx!

I'm still getting acquainted with it. The CAPO fits right where the HX One sits, so I could call an audible and swap it out. But I'm quite fond of how the DCX Bass (clean console tone), Tone Hammer (first stage drive), and Locust Star (full RAT) stack together.

Yes sir! We are doing House of the Lord tomorrow. Im also going to add it in on I Believe and Goodness of God. That last one seems odd, but there’s that part where the bass plays up an octave after the bridge. We are doing it in C, so its either too high or too low. I’m going to try it on the Moog and then sweep the filter where they pedal on the root into the final chorus. We’ll see how it sounds.
Im getting pretty comfortable on it.
I love flats on my Roscoe Classic P. I’ve debated getting a Fender 75th Anniversary in that bourbon finish and leave rounds on it. Be like Sean Hurley.
But then I play my Century 5 and it’s just so damn nice to play. Not that the P isn’t. I can cover a lot of ground with a P but I do “need” the B string for a few things. Just can’t make the leap to all 4P all the time.
Yeah, I have them all now. The real useful ones are the IMA SIG and one of the synths from the first set, can’t remember the name. I haven’t had much time with the 2nd batch yet, but am using the “Juno” and “Foundation” which is basically a Noble for a couple presets tonight. I think you can get both paks for like $147 right now. That’s a steal. I paid $194.
Some people argue his are too expensive but I say they are vetted and sound great right out of the “box” so to speak so that’s worth it to me. If you get all of them it’s $6 a preset.
I keep a 5er on hand for such times… but I want to get a different one.
I just found one of the older highly sought after CIC Squier CV 60s P basses in fiesta red… the “poor man’s Pino”. My thought was to have a P that cost 1/3 or less of my current one, but still have something you can’t just go find easily, or walk into a store and buy. I had a blue one back in the day and sold it like an idiot. Those basses sound killer, just like what you want from a P bass.
as for the presets, I know I said the new ones seem expensive in a prior post. But you’re right. And the first gig I played, they were payed for. Looking at it now, $147 for all that is dope and they will pay for themselves the first time you use it on a paid gig. I can’t wait to get some of the 2nd ones… although it may be a week or 2. depending on your review of course!

Yeah, I paid $97 for each collection. Still fine with that. But $147 for 24 presets, even if you don’t necessarily use them all is pretty nice.
And of course you can experiment from a good starting point and work from there. Do I use the “Montana” preset in the first batch? No. But maybe someday I will. Or I’ll just noodle around with it. Who knows.

I edited the Montana patch and use it for You Won’t Relent by Misty Edwards. I play the main line on that, which was originally done on bass and this patch is perfect for it (with slight editing). We’re actually doing this song tomorrow…
The stock one is actually super cool if you don’t know what a song needs, everyone’s been trying to figure it out and you’ve experimented with it some… assuming the context is right if you bust it out everyone just kinda goes “woah, yeah that’ll work”

I have them all now as well. I think his signature pack and the synth packs are the best followed by the new classic amp sim pack. The new foundation preset is just comp + “Noble”…meh. I have gotten a lot of value from saving his individual block settings as default.
You mean, you can take a block from a patch and set that blocks settings to always be the default when that block is used again? So, for instance if I really liked the way that Ampeg SVT was set in a preset, I could save that as the default settings to be used every time I add it to a different patch?
If that is what you mean... How?
