I haven't got that far yet but my feeling is that as been as I need an DI anyway then having the Tonehammer on my board is not a bad thing.
Is anyone using the Khan DI? It sounds great, but I think an EQ or a bit of low end enhancement would really make it shine. Are you using an eq pedal, DCX, etc?
I used an HX Stomp into a Khan for several years.
My signal 99% of the time is essentially my P bass or jazz bass into a Cali76 bass compressor and Khan DI. It sounds amazing without any other bells or whistles. That gives front of house an excellent slate to work with.
I have the Cali76, so I like the idea of just rolling with that and 2 overdrives. Actually, the Alma EQZ knob really adds a nice touch. I may just have to get this out and try it.

I had the Empress ParaEQ MKII Deluxe & ultimately got rid of it in favor of the RFE. Not that the Empress was bad, I just liked the Broughton better. The ability to Boost Resonance at the cutoff frequency is brilliant!
I used it by itself, paired with a Cali 76 and dcx bass, and also paired with a stomp.
Worked great no matter what.
My plan is to redo my board. I will be ditching the Peterson since the Shure has a tuner when muted. I'll also probably take the Chorus off because, aside from using it 'just because it's there', I only needed it for one song in the past 8 months. I can always put it on the floor for the one or two times we do Same God. And the Octabvre hasn't gotten used since I got the Moog.
My goal is to go wireless > comp > OD > OD > pre. That should give me everything I need.
Since I was re-doing the board, I decided to check out some other preamps. I tried some really nice ones, and I would have been happy with a number of them, but the Noble was set to stay on the board, until I tried the Khan. They both had strengths, but I kind of like the way the Khan has a bit of an 'amp feel' for the rock/pick songs. We are doing a good amount of those, so I'm just looking for something to put the Khan over the edge. I'm just not all in yet. I still need to experiment, and since I don't have any services for the rest of the month, now is the time.

I like the Empress EQ, haven't tried the RFE. I typically prefer simpler Treble, Bass eqs, but nothing has sounded as good as the Empress. Maybe the DCX would be the right voicing...
For now, I'll keep the dcx. I prefer hearing comparisons rather than strictly "demos" honestly. Ears can play tricks and when hearing things back to back you get a bigger picture. Gladio does sound good though!
Can't go wrong with either the noble or the khan
I've been working on my board lately. I got the UA 1176 Compressor -> HX Stomp (drive stage + synth stage using ToneFactor IRs) -> SansAmp Programmable BDDI. I want to get a drive pedal, maybe a Tonex. But overall I am already super happy with my tone just with what I have already. Love seeing pictures of your boards! I'll share my own some day when I'm happy with it
