Just picked up a broughton subsonic. It's the closest pedal to a moog I've used and more low end than the hx octaver.
In other news, I've always wanted a sonic blue bass and I think the latest Squier release with matching headstock is really cool. I've played several of them recently and they've either been too heavy or had neck issues so I kind of gave up.
Today I found one that is 8.5lbs and plays perfectly. The neck has a REALLY thin radius. Like Ibanez thin and it feels better than my American Pro II neck. The pickups are missing a lot of articulation so I will have to change those eventually. $350 otd at GC with the 4th sale and veterans discount.

Very nice on both counts! I've liked a few different Squiers that I have messed around with. Kinda thought about grabbing an Anniversary variant of some fashion down the line. Either another P to string with rounds or a Jazz to finish the classic Leo Trio.
I would recommend it… if not anniversary, maybe a classic vibe or vintage modified whatever they currently offer. If you find a good one, jump on it. It's no different than any other, except the name on the headstock!
Has and/or does anyone here run the hx stomp with a one spot cs6 pro power supply? I have both of these laying around and I think im going to put a tuner, hx stomp and a walrus canvas stereo DI on my nano board for a loaner/backup/multi instrument board.
Anyone know someone who makes a power cable for the cs6 pro and hx stomp?
I'm going to be using the DC7 to power the quad cortex so that's not an option anymore. Guess I could always get a second one but I'm sure the cs6 will work somehow…

Totally agree. I messed around with a few at Sweetwater and I didn't have any gripes to be honest.
The Mexican made Fenders can be really nice too. I had a Player Buttercream Jazz that was superb but I stupidly sold it some time back. I still want one of the 50's Roadworn P Basses too.
It does work. You have to get the green conversion cable and the red one. The use the higher output. I did this for a while before I upgraded to the cioks.
I've seen that… I really don't trust one port to power it much past just turning it on. It's going to be maxed out in my use. And I also need to power another pedal or 2.
Yeah I powered the stomp and a few others with this setup for years. It absolutely works. I ran the stomp, cali comp, yyz, and a variation of some 3leaf pedals.
Today's Sunday rig. First time without the Stomp in a while. Felt a like naked without it but also enjoyed the simplicity of not having it.
We've been doing one throwback song each week. This week was Revelation Song. I loved using the Subsonic to give it a more modern synth-y vibe. It is the biggest I've ever sounded in our subs. Feels like it rattles the entire church.

Tried out the Big Booty Judy on Praise You Anywhere this morning. Sounded great and got some compliments from the sound guy and other bassist that was running the live stream sound today. In other news I am thinking about unloading the Microsynth. I just don't use it as much as I thought I would. Either need to find more ways to incorporate it or replace it with just an octave pedal.
Ive used the MicroSynth, an Octave + Fuzz, and the Octron3 as three different ways to get that Big Sound. My church teams really like the Big Sound and it's become an essential part of the toolkit. Give it another go.....
I put everything I have left on my board, just because. Got rid of the H9 and got the stomp back in. All the fuzzes are in the fx loop, along with the microsynth. Also set the octaver to do the "moog" synth thing in case I don't have the real moog for whatever reason.
I don't use my octron 2 and the boss oc2 is getting fragile being that it's a rehouse.
The dcx was just really redundant, sold it.
Sold my spare Tonehammer.
Sold my way huge Pork and Pickle.
If I ever start gigging again outside of church Ill just bring my mini board and load a few of these on there.

Just a PSA for everyone… local Guitar Center had the HX One on sale brand new for $199. So, it is NPD for me.
I sold my MicroSynth about 6 months back after owning it for a year. I agree with you - I just didn't use it much. Worship bassists typically just use it for an elaborate fuzz that I can easily get out of my Stomp + compressor. I think it is the most overrated worship bass pedal. Don't get me wrong - it's a great pedal in general. But I don't really see the value in it for worship bass.
