Honestly, I think you'd need 2 separate channels as they're 2 separate instruments. Any EQ or compression would be different and even the levels in gain would be vastly different.

Or just try to make your bass a faux synth with octave chorus and dirt. You can surprisingly cop those sounds and most wouldn't even know, only issue is if you had to switch between sounds during a song, it'd be a bit of a foot dance on the pedals.

I'm afraid you might be right. :)
I just use the synth at home and use a Bit Commander live when I would use a synth.

I was hoping to regulate the levels with the LS1 but I didn't think of the fuller range of the synth. I may just ask to have another line if they want me to play it.

This guy uses Ernie Ball volume pedal. Check the ending out where's obvious. I think it's a VP JR.



I thought about getting one and narrowed down to Lehle. However, I wouldn't use it often for swells. So I decided to save the room on the board and stick with the volume knob.

We run a separate line for the Moog. When I first brought it, we used a wireless transmitter, like you'd use for an acoustic guitar because they didn't have a line run back there. But, that was a quick work around. We eventually got a dedicated line that's always there ready to be plugged in.

I like that it saturates and drives my signal without coloring my tone. The eq settings are usable in their full range. I love it last in my chain.

I use it as an overdrive stacked with the always on DCX for faster/bigger parts. Mode 2 is very smooth and musical while still adding all the harmonics you want in an OD. I did a blind comparison between it and the DCX in the DCX thread and more people picked it as the preferred OD sound if that says anything.

I've been able to get the Ages to sound very similar to the DCX in OD mode and the Tone Hammer AGS. Not exact, but close. I'm looking for a way to replace the bulky Tone Hammer and think the Ages may be the ticket.

Played with this (almost, switched the order of the tuner and the Humboldt) configuration at church today, and the tone was amazing through the IE's and out front! Then had a secular practice with my soul/funk band, and it sounded amazing through my live rig! Same settings across the board. I'm really rethinking selling the Humboldt. I have a Puncheline and an FKT Octavarium arriving tomorrow, and I may just need to get a second, bigger board!
First world problems.

This is cool. A new Bryce Vaughn pedal board run-down. Just love his tone and fascinated that he does not use the Tone Hammer. My board from yesterday is actually very similar! He got into the Mono pedal board and added the JHS Kilt, having recently been influenced by the David Funk board run-down. I got the Kilt V1 on my board yesterday as a loaner from one of my WL's to try out. I'll be putting the Kilt V2 on my board going forward (or maybe stick with the Broughton Calamity, which I adore).

That was a slick rundown he did. I too like seeing boards that have some different flavors added in.

I'm also super digging the Mono board, looks very clean.

What are your first impressions of the Kilt?

I really appreciate his simple demos of each tone and tone combinations. He doesn't slap away or show off his chops, just good simple lines to hear the tones.

The Kilt..... I used the Kilt in the ultra fuzz velcro ripping mode (a la David Funk) in one chorus and it was very cool. The band was big so it blended in. That mode seems to preserve the low end as well. The milder drive settings are lovely but there is some low end loss. Bryce used the Stomp to mix in a clean blend and that was creative and worked very well.
