Worship Bass Pedalboards

I'm not sure what a "worship bass pedalboard" is, but I like simplicity -- just turn it on and PLAY! All hail to the Noble, or whatever you're supposed to say about Sublime Tone. The HPF keeps away those bad sounds from below. The tuner ... well, it keeps me on the straight and narrow path of tune-ation.

The power on one end and the XLR out on the other on the Khan doesn’t play well with my set up. Gonna just leave the Khan loose (like I did with my REDDI) for now and see what direction I want to go.

Maybe just a backpack or “musicians bag” or something like that for my Nano, Khan and cables.

That was what kept me from downsizing when I had a khan. Smallest I could get was a Nano+ and mount the khan on top.

When @furym was looking into fitting his HX stomp with Khan on a Nano, I gave him measurements with the right angle C13 plug I was using. I searched for a lower profile right angle C13 and found this right angle C13 to C14 cable, and it looks about a 1/4" lower than mine. However, with a Shure GLXD16+... it could still be pretty tight fit. It would have been nice if the Khan was easily mounted under the Nano without extending the feet.

Gave up on my Khan long ago, too. Even the v2 size is difficult to manage on small pb’s. Of course, the Khan sounds fantastic…but there’s other quality options more pb-friendly. Smallest pb I could make work…TA Duo size/depth:

I have been running “Regal” right to FOH. It’s probably fine. I just think I miss a little if the tube thing - real or imagined. But when I added the Khan st home it sounded nice. Even all by itself.

For now I’ll do like I did with my REDDI and just set it off separately as it needs its own power as well.

For tube DI’s, Ive found the units that require 110V to be more satisfying than those that run off 9 or 18v. The Khan is about as small as it gets. Personally, I’d go with a bigger board to make it happen.

Yeah, I tried the Sushi and it was ok but I was used to my REDDI at that point. I think the REDDI with its giant transformer might have a little more “heft” but the Khan is a great “compromise” for size and cost.

The DCX is kind of making me want to go with a bigger board. I prefer the higher drive tones of the Gladio to the DCX in drive mode. But, in EQ mode, it adds some nice excitement to the tone. It's probably not a necessity, but it's enough that I notice it quite clearly. My current small board is packed tight, and I don't want to lose any of those pedals.
If I go bigger, I have two options. One is to load it up with other pedals that I really like, but rarely use. The two that I would use the most (even if it's just once a month) are the Horrothia Type One and the 3 Leaf Octabvre. But, I could also put a Tone Hammer on there for the AGS drive, or a fuzz, or the Micro Synth, etc.
The other option is to mount all my Moog controllers on there. Right now, I have them on a separate small board.
What would you do???

That's a good option too. I didn't think about that. My current board is one row. I'm sure I could get a half length tier.
Right now, I'm leaning towards having a bigger flat board. I keep going back and forth about using the Stomp or using separate chorus, overdrive and octave pedals.

Me, too. So far I’m staying with the Stomp as:

It’s paid for
It works for any effect I may need in the future
It’s about the same size as 3 individual pedals
In an emergency, it can be my rig

Yeah, analog might sound a little better, but honestly, in a live band mix, no one can really tell. I’m adding a tube DI just for fun, which I would be fine using as my rig if my Stomp crapped out.

Good list of reasons.
I already have the main analog pedals. But, I do like the fact that the Stomp has a lot more options--delays, reverbs, synths, etc.
The chorus and octaves in the Stomp sound great. The overdrives aren't bad either. I'm starting to get the hang of the interface. The computer program is easy to use, but I'm starting the dig into the editor on the pedal itself. The routing is cool too with the effects loop, and I can always supplement the Stomp with a separate overdrive, etc.
At this point, either option would work fine, but I just need to keep experimenting.

I'm just curious as you've given good reviews on pedals I'm interested in (ZIO, MS-60B+, humbolt) but seem to move on from them after a few months. I'm on a journey to find a reasonable cost/size, strictly for church IEM setup, so a little bit interested in what you've been finding!

I have an HX Stomp and Rolls PM50s for church. Works great.

I’m finicky and fickle when it comes to gear, especially for church. Plus I’m on TB too much and get caught up in the hype, and I have guilt issues because I spend too much money!
All my reviews are fairly honest, but I’m searching for an IE setup that brings out the nuances in my playing, that I consider, me. My sound.

The Humboldt, has become the center piece of what I’m looking for, so that stayed!

The Zoom B+ is an amazingly versatile, and great sounding multi, for dirt cheap! I just decided to get away from FX that I love, but rarely use, mainly Octave and filter.

And the Zio should have stayed, but $$!

So I went for tone only. The HB just adds a clarity to the Humboldt that I really like, plus a mid sweep. I play fretless only these days.

The CabZone is just such an easy way to change up my tone, without really “changing up my tone”, if that makes sense. And the DI is Solid!

I have a Micro Tubes Vintage Deluxe V2 on the way, because Dirt is the one effect that will work for me at church, and at my secular gigs.
