First time I auditioned on a silent stage at church... they had that exact ButtKicker bassboard. I bought a Buttkicker transducer because of that board, but Buttkicker stopped producing that board. I had to mount it on plywood, and worked great... but I decided to go with 2 lower profile transducers for ease of transport reasons. They are not as strong as the Buttkicker, but it does the job. Love the sub-bass immersion on stage... and I love it just as much at home.

I loved that Buttkicker version... Bassboards really enhances playing ampless on stage with IEM's... making silent stage more satisfying, immersive, and enjoyable.

The DCX is kind of making me want to go with a bigger board. I prefer the higher drive tones of the Gladio to the DCX in drive mode. But, in EQ mode, it adds some nice excitement to the tone. It's probably not a necessity, but it's enough that I notice it quite clearly. My current small board is packed tight, and I don't want to lose any of those pedals.
If I go bigger, I have two options. One is to load it up with other pedals that I really like, but rarely use. The two that I would use the most (even if it's just once a month) are the Horrothia Type One and the 3 Leaf Octabvre. But, I could also put a Tone Hammer on there for the AGS drive, or a fuzz, or the Micro Synth, etc.
The other option is to mount all my Moog controllers on there. Right now, I have them on a separate small board.
What would you do???

Looking for some advice on a DI. Any recommendations?

I play Fender Jazz, P Bass and have a Dingwall Z3 with Neve Preamp on the way.

My previous church had a REDDI which sounded great but my new church just has cheap DI boxes. I’d like to get a nice DI that isn’t as expensive as the REDDI or as big.

I’ve read a bit about the Noble and RNDI.

I have a Khan. I had a REDDI and wanted something a little smaller, more board friendly and a little more affordable. Haven’t tried to yet but all my new pedalboard stuff finally came so I hope to have it put together this week.

Oh, cool. I just found the bass trim pot as well. Can’t find any info about it online though. Did you turn it all the way to the right?

The Khan is nice and there are a lot of people who like the RNDI and Radial. But, I'm curious--have you tried the DI on the Tone Hammer?

The EHX microsynth has been clutch lately at filling the electric guitar void our church currently has. I’ve been blending it 70/30 through the hx stomp. It’s too intense by itself with a small band (bass, acoustic, cello).

I’ve pretty much killed rhythm guitar in the track and cello covers lead guitar parts mostly.

I love getting creative to fill the sound out like that. The less phantom instruments we have on the track going out the better.

I was using it always-on when I was running the SansAmp. Now, the Tone Hammer has enough grit and I activate it as an extra gain stage. I can also combine it with my synth toggle on my Stomp and it sounds pretty close to the Micro Synth! I used to have one, but I sold it because I felt it was too niche and overrated for the amount of space it took up.

That said, I love the Ages. Such a nice, versatile, and open drive.
