The Lusithand is amazing. I’ve been going through a bazillion compressors and for bass it’s my favorite.
How do you find that More pedal? Does it give enough tube feel to your overall tone?
How are you liking the Rehearsal? It seems like a pretty good headphone amp. With the added benefit of a metronome and Bluetooth for backing tracks.
I while back I asked about the 385 and I didn’t get any responses (I think) glad that someone is giving it a try
It may be a matter of personal preference but there I liked the Kilt more for the heavy sound and both for light OD. Nice “dry” sound as well.

Did a quick comparison of two very similar pedals that do both drive and fuzz really well on bass imo. I really made the audio recording for my own benefit as l'm trying to decide which one to keep then thought why not also do a video. The 385 deserves a lot more love on bass then it gets.
The kilt has a gate, which is nice for eliminating buzz and string noise but can make space between notes awkward if you're not careful.
The Walrus 385 has a whole other level fuzz in + mode I didn't get to. It's a little crazy the range it covers.
I never thought l'd be that into fuzz for worship but watching and listening to Bethel's music and David Funk's videos has really changed my mind. In a mix it's completely different.
Which one do you think sounds better?

Their clipping circuits have to be similar if not identical. I wish the kilt had a bass eq to make up for low end loss like the 385 has.I while back I asked about the 385 and I didn’t get any responses (I think) glad that someone is giving it a try

Dry sound is all DCX magic.
Thanks for the demo. The David Funk videos influenced me, as well. I think I like the Kilt in this comparison.
I would be interested to hear how the 385 sounds without the bass control dimed (with both Bass and Treble controls at noon)...
IMO it does! I have had a MORE of some kind on my boards for at least two years. It is definitely a subtle tone enhancer, but it does two things - adds a really pleasing fullness throughout the range of my passive P (results may vary with other basses/pickups) and then yes, adds a certain feel, especially with the all-digital HXS that I really like. Would someone notice in a difference in a live set without A/Bing, probably not, but I'm ok with that
I definitely dig it. The built in metronome, BT, and buffered outputs are all nice features that aren't found anywhere else to my knowledge. I do think the new price is a hair stiff, but for someone who likes the feature set, you'll have to spend more money or do a lot more gear/software manipulation to get this feature set.
I also think that if Walrus added an XLR and a tuner, and stuck it in a larger housing, they'd sell a BUNCH of these.

Lol started as a bit of an experiment, but so far enjoying it. Couple of things:
- The HXO is actually my tuner on this board.
- Most of my stomp patches use all eight blocks so the HXO gives me ability to have one more less-common effect (for me that's dedicated octave or modulation) that I've got as a standalone that can be controlled manually or via the HXS MIDI output.
- The flux control is actually pretty cool. Depending on which preset I'm using, it's like having a bonus pedal thrown in my FX loop. When I have my octave preset, the standard is like an Octabass, but with Flux it turns into an OC2 Synth octave.
I observed that the Kilt retains the low end in the gated fuzz mode. The lower gain drive modes did have some low end loss.
I agree, especially the tuner part. But they also have a Canvas Tuner and Canvas DI, so they would be canabalizing their line. If it at least had a Tuner in it I think it would sell a lot better.
I hear you. Ironically I did think the 385 sounded a bit “boomy” in the heavier setting, so maybe the bass control added “too much bass” of a particular frequency there. How did it feel to you?

Amazing that you get the Stomp that busy! I rarely used more than 4/5 blocks which is why I went with an HX One. And now I mostly use it as a tunerIMO it does! If I built every preset from the ground up, I’d probably have more room but some of my favorite presets were purchased or downloaded and I like em so having a separate device that is a bit of a playground is worth it to me since the Line6 space has so many solid effects.Amazing that you get the Stomp that busy! I did some more A/B tests with my analog pedals and the Stomp. I have a RevivalDrive that I love, but stopped using because there is a slight delay when kicking it on. I bought a Saturnworks effects loop pedal to use with the RD, and that solves the issue, but that's two pedals and I was out of room as it is. Then it hit me...the Stomp has an effects loop...hmm, wait a minute, hold up. Then I thought about that Temple board in the basement. So, I spent the evening putting this together:
