I've used a laptop charger with USB C. It's 65W, and powered my Cioks 4 with no issues.So iPhone charger isn't going to cut it
I have the Eventide Powermini (the Cioks 4 twin bought as an extension to my DC7 but split it off to power another board). I use a Strymon 24v power adapter to power it (PS-124) and it ran my Stomp just fine (using the current doubler of course). I don't know if it would be my first choice to power a whole board but I already had it and got the Strymon adapter off the classifieds for cheap. Definitely recommend Cioks though, they have both been great power supplies and one of these days I'll get another DC7 so my powermini can go back under the big board.
The HX Stomp actually only uses 900mA as per the Cioks yT reel below:
I have a Cioks DC7 and it is awesome.
I also have a Ghostfire FH5 that will power my HXS off 1 output and comes with the correct cables for it, and it is expandable with an IEC output. I have actually considered moving this to my main board and expanding to either another FH5, or a Rockboard ISO V6 IEC, as it has a USB out also. The V6 can also power a HXS with a current doubling cable due to it only drawing 900mA as per the Cioks video.
If you have limited clearance under your board, then Cioks is the way to go. If you have more clearance and want to save some $ then there are other options also.

I read something about needing a cable to “reverse polarity” and honestly I don’t know what That means other than I need to buy more cables to make this work lol.
Boss style pedals use a center negative, while pedals like effectrode use center positive. HX Stomp is center negative, but the hole in the plug is 2.5mm, where as the hole in a standard boss plug is 2.1mm. You don't need to reverse polarity with the HX Stomp.
I use a 19V 3A lap top supply for one of my Cioks 4 units.
Total overkill as total output is 24W. When you loo at the table on page 2 of the manual however, it says that to utilize the total 24W of output power, you require a minimum power supply of 17V 2A (34W)
For those trying to work out what they need: Watts = Volts x Amps
I have considered running a Y cable from my power supply to use 2 Cioks 4 units on a larger pedal board but haven't yet.

I just read this properly. You are plugging into the USB C in of the Cioks 4? By the way the manual reads, 9w total output is all you get using the USB C in. As long as the pedals on your board aren't high current draw, you'll be fine. by my calcs, the HXS will use 8.1W by itself.
Got a fun set list for Easter next week, but I don’t need any effects so I threw this board together since I had em laying around, instead of using the stomp or the quad cortex next week I’ll go all analog with my Nash mustang bass
How do you like the dcx? I have heard good things and have been thinking about adding it. I run a Sansamp bddi at the end of my chain and I have been thinking about adding the dcx to liven it up a little

For some reason my trigger finger is getting itchy for the RNDI-M.
With Easter services coming this seems like a good time to add one to the mix.
I haven’t used it in a long time, but for this coming week it’s my “Sansamp”. It can also function well as a drive pedal… some people have 2 and use one as a drive pedal exclusively. I ran this same set up over a year ago and loved it so I already knew how good it was going to be. Especially with the Nash mustang and some worn in TI flats!
But yes, I like it. There’s a reason these are the only analog pedals I still have. I prefer it to both the Sansamp and the Tonehammer. I just wish they made a version with a XLR out!

I don’t use effects much (I did use a light drive a bit today) and have a separate tuner pedal from my Stomp. I’ve thought about just using the Khan one Sunday. I don’t think I’ll do it for Easter (hate to have any surprises) but may try it after that for fun.

I use a cioks SOL powering a tuner and the hx stomp which is running off a doubler cable from logsdon audio
I use either the SOL or the dc7 and a quadruple cable made to power the quad cortex.
Starting to figure out using the subsonic more often from suggested tips in this thread. Used the BMS on "Who Else" this week, and worked out pretty well.
