Hologram Microcosm is what I use for long-sustain fills. There's a Hold pedal on there that keeps the same note and magic going. Also a loop.

Try dual pitch into poly sustain on a momentary foot switch into reverb/delay to taste - it gets close
it didn't, in my experience, get that good at a pad sound. It was fantastic at a kinda analogue synth type thing, but the more pad like thing It didn't exce at when I was trying to use it for a similar idea.
For ambient moments, I've grown attached to the memory man modulated delay. It's in the HX and also as the MXR Carbon Copy. Add a sub octave for nice modulating pad moments. The Dispatch Master is another one that is lovely for ambient moments.
Haven't had that much free time to do a deep dive cuz I've been on EG the last couple of weeks. I'm back on bass this week and will see if I can squeeze it into a song. The songs this week don't really call for fuzz, but I'll see. It's definitely versatile. It goes from wooly mammoth type sounds to pretty bright orbiter type. I think it's worth it. It may be overkill for me though. I have a ton of dirt.

I would like to custom wire my large pedalboard. Off the shelf patch cables are too bulky for my set up. Anyone have a recommendation on where to get raw cable Mogami cable and square plug SP550-S, or something like this?
I have a JPTR FX Bass Jive on the way. Someone offered it as a trade for my Fairfield Modele B so I grabbed it. Happy to grab one and have it on the way immediately rather than having to go through the chaos that played out with preorder and release.

It's a nice OD pedal that has a wide-range: from warmth, to grit, combined with some harmonic (saturated) tones (or not).

Anyone running a Neve RNDI-M live? Or the older model? Curious if it's worth the extra thing to carry or if it's negligible?

Try the HX's Analog w/Mod and/or Elephant Man. Both based on the EHX Memory Man. Both can be tap tempo'd to the song.
Where did you get the Sub 25 training? Or did you do the training? If so, did you record it?

Also, I see you have the Lowrider back on your board. What made you put it back on?
I had everyone watch the David Curran video on dialing in a sub bass synth sound (using his Sub Phatty which is similar to the Sub 25). Then we played through of the first half of What A Beautiful Name a few times using headphones. I did this one-on-one with each bass player for about 45 minutes. We played with a single oscillator at first, the added a second to dial in some modulation or thickness to the tone.
