I so wish I would have kept my P5. I didn't know then that I'd be a P bass guy. If I could buy it back (I keep trying) I would.
I've tried to buy back my old P5. No luck. That could easily be my only bass…for now…that's probably why I have a p bass with flats, a p bass set up BEAD and bought back my 5 string American pro P5 (2017 version) from my friend 4-5 months ago. it was my only bass for about 3 years and I survived somehow (it was actually a glorious thing, being a one bass man)... thinking back on that, why did I buy another bass after that? Cuz I keep wanting to try other things (cuz you know, we get bored) but in reality, it's everything I need and nothing I don't.

Are you still liking the Big Booty Judy?Just picked up a Big Booty Judy last week and it rips!
Absolutely! Love it! If I ever expand the board, I'd rock two. One in Rat mode, one in Turbo mode. Are you still liking the Big Booty Judy?
Still use my BBJ every week as well. Hasn't been taken off the board since I got itAre you still liking the Big Booty Judy?
Been very curious about that BB Preamp. Tell us more.Tonehammer seems to be a constant for me, the Microsynth comes and goes, the BB preamp is new to me and a very lively little box!
It has a lot of range from almost clean to full on gnarly distortion. The additional eq is really nice as the highs can get a little bright for my taste. It doesn't seem to loose low end thankfully and build quality is absolutely top notch.Been very curious about that BB Preamp. Tell us more.
The Lab comp and Neptunium work beautifully together for a soft warm vibe. Especially with flats. I could never get with the cali76 despite how good that pedal is.
Oh no, it sounds great with anything you put into it. It's an incredible pedal. I just think the Lab sounds even better with flats. You don't like the cali76 with flats?
If I don't need anything else, I'll leave the stomp or quad at home and take the cali76, dcx bass - the only analog pedals I have, and the khan vtdi. I think it sounds awesome with flats! (Or any bass/string combo, really)
Switching to a key synth has really simplified my bass board to just the core of what works and much less fussing each week to get the right octave/fuzz combo or stomp plugin just right.
This is why I went back to my Yamaha MODX6 instead of using my Stomp or trying the new MXR pedal - although the latter sounds good in videos. It's just easier and yeah, some things just sound/feel/lay/play better on a real synth. I still have a Stomp for a couple effects I use but have debated going all analog with my Khan and a few pedals but by the time I buy the pedals it'll be twice as much as just staying with yeh Stomp so I'm doing that for now. I run it into my Lhan and that sounds pretty nice.

We've gone to more acoustic sets lately so no real need for drive/fuzz right now sadly.

I love/hate the ceb-3. I love the high pass filter for just leaving the pedal on and jumping up high and coming back down without having to be switching the pedal on/off. Sadly the overall chorus effect is too subtle in mono for what I like but I'll deal with it for the hpf.

Any update on the Jive? They have the new Deluxe Jive on sale.I like it (JPTR FX Bass Jive -- not the new deluxe version).
It's a nice OD pedal that has a wide-range: from warmth, to grit, combined with some harmonic (saturated) tones (or not).
At the moment, it's not on a church board. I'm still messing around with it at home.
I really want to try the LAB, actually trying to offload my PC-2A in an attempt to try oneOh no, it sounds great with anything you put into it. It's an incredible pedal. I just think the Lab sounds even better with flats.
I ordered a Deluxe Jive on August 7th. It still hasn't shipped.Any update on the Jive? They have the new Deluxe Jive on sale.
