It’s a pretty simple preset. Switching to snapshot mode will get you a micro synth with fuzz in snapshot 3 but I also like running the octave/drive/chorus together in stomp mode for a softer more synth-y micro synth.

Random question... but I've already asked the Dingwall guys. So I want a more traditional bass. I already have a NG-3 and D-ROC. Both 5 strings. I love both equally. I've always been a P or PJ guy. I've tried a ton of Fenders, all the way from Mexican to American Professional. I think Dingwall spoiled me. Anyways... I ordered another 5 string from Dingwall, an SP-1, but again 5 string. It just feels so good and natural in my hands. Am I going nuts by going with another 5 string? Should I get a 4 string this time? I had a Charvel Pro Mod in 5. Once I got that NG, it was such a"I'm at home" feeling that I just couldn't play the Charvel anymore, so I sold it.

Is three 5 string basses too much?

I should add, I can still change the order. I ordered through Sweetwater and It is not likely to arrive until October 26th.

If you’re not giving up anything by going 5, I don’t think you should worry. I only play 5 and find it easier. If you don’t like that SP-1 though, let us know before you trade it in at GC lol

I play 5ers because we transpose a lot. The singers have a nice range, but often times they pick keys that are easier for the congregation to sing. Or to make the songs flow better. I’ve only played one ‘set’ in the last 2 years where I didn’t touch the B string.
I know others have different experiences, but that is mine.

I really appreciate the 5 string when songs are in E, F, or C even. Let's me play higher up the neck with more vertical access to notes. I rarely play anything below the E on the B string that's not just a passing note, or some sort of intro or outro that needs that low heavy note.

Songs in G I swap back and forth between the G on the E or B string. I like the tone on the E string better, but the B string is more convenient to play.

High quality transformer balanced 600Ohm line level out, nothing not to like. Punchy cut through the mix kind of tone, definitely not the warm pillowy kind.

Used the saturation/crossover channel a fair bit on the XB Driver yesterday in the service as songs built. Was really happy with how it sat in the mix.

My friend... who I buy most of my gear from at a discount... gave me a great deal for the MXR Bass Synth pedal for $200 back in early August... but it never got re-stocked. Today... I texted him, and asked him to cancel my order. I just lost interest from waiting so long... and I've pretty much lost the urge to buy new pedals. I still play weekly and different churches... and always enjoy it, but I'm content with I've been using week to week. This doesn't mean I don't enjoy all the gear all of you share here. Maybe someday that GAS urge will come back... but I'm fine with my current pedalboard... for now.

Shrunk my board down again, but I've been very pleased with the results. Here is a cover of The Joy I recorded last night. I've been using the Ian Allison Super Polished on this Precision and really dig the tone they are giving me, especially when switching back and forth between pick and finger style.

I’m thinking of putting these strings on my fretless. I currently use La Bella Black Tapes. Do you have any clips playing fingerstyle?

Thanks so much for the compliment! I do actually have a finger style clip. They are a little brighter in this one as I only had about 3 hours of play on them, I have about 10 on them now and they have mellowed nicely.
